Before the DP's I had Injen SES Duals and Megan Test Pipes, the AFR as about 11.5 all the way up. That was putting out about 500ish to the wheels. The tuner dropped the SES and ran a tune on the Test pipes only to try to pre adjust for the larger exhaust (as a crutch until I could get it back in) That put down about 535ish with an 11.5 AFR.

After the APS 3" and SGP DP's the AFR jumped to 13.9 and a VERRY noticable diffrence in spool up. So Im thinking that I've put down at lest 20 on top of the 535 I was at with the open tests. Possibly more. The Greddy down pipes are EXTREMELY restrictive so the direct 3" helps ALOT. My shop said they often see a jump of 30 to 40hp with going to a 3" DP.

BTW Im getting lower power than most at 18psi because Im running Weisco 8.6:1's. Hind sight I should have went with a 9.5.

You should be able to run more ignition timing (on pump gas) than a car with 9:1 or 9.5:1 pistons though.

^^^^those brackets are for you to bolt the downpipes up to your stock cat brace. this whill keep the exhaust from moving at all.

I was thinking the same thing too, but the more I asked arround a real conservative tune on 8.6 will get you what I have. Yeah it sucks that Im missing out on the extra power but the is next to no chance that I will detonate.

Yeah I would love to see that extra power though. I may get her tuned more aggressively in the future.

remember that too "conservative" of a tune can really heat up your EGTs. If your timing values are too "conservative, your cylinder temps will be much higher.

I would say that Im experiencing little no no extra heating with the sonservative tune. The temp has not fluctuated ANY with this tune. Its as dagnasty hot as before the tune. Still alot more heat than stock but no more than before the tune.

I was gonna talk to them for the final tune to advance the timing acouple of degree's and see what that net. Im expecting high 500's with the new tune and exhaust. I was gonna make a post for my final tune to show what my final build was.

Hope the SGP DP's for all the other net good gains. Definately a great product bar none.

I have AAM 3 in. DP. I love these and they sound so nasty! I can't imagine not having these on my car now, I would miss the sound alot. You will certainly like these on your car. Oh and Go Army.

+1 to what Jumpin said. The AAM dumps are nasty. period. The sound is like nothing you've ever heard.
