3inch DP's for my Greddy TT's

I have a stock block, but I haven't gotten around to installing these yet. I felt the need to take my SPG DPs to a local welder and have him make "some adjustments" to the DPs. I wasn't really pleased with the quality of the weld joints at the 2" opening on these DPs. The flange is a 2" opening, but with the way the pipe is welded into the flange, you end up with only a 1.8" opening. TURBULENCE!!!!!! on a small turbine outlet like the Greddy has, you don't want any other restrictions in the flow path........and having a LIP like that is not a good thing. So, I had my welder add some material so that I could grind out the inner lip left by the SPG welders. It sounds like I am being a PITA, but I felt it was necessary. I also had him cut off the "cat brace" flanges and weld up an extra O2 sensor bung on each pipe.

i sent a PM for price qoute and didnt get a PM back, so i called up there and was told about $1200.00 for the pipes/open dumps...!!! is that right.. thats twice as much as the AAM and more than what they have on the market place https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....&highlight=sgp ....

Also, I left a PM for SGP on their thread in the classifieds and it was never answered. You are better off calling them.
here are some pics of my SGP 3" DPs after I had them rewelded and ground to eliminate the poor transition at the turbine outlet. I also had an extra bung welded onto thr DP for a wideband O2. I am surprised that SGP and AAM don't do this normally...as everyone has uses them.

I need to put them on, but I can never seem to find the time. Work has been pretty busy. I need to find a day to do the work, and then be able to take the car to the exhaust shop to have them mated up to my exhaust.
Also, I didn't do any of the welding.....I don't have much welding experience.

i have my custom 3 inch downpipe made by injected Performance (thanks Marty=Primo8998)
Dump tubes recirculate to the end of the DP. Very nice piece!

I've bought several aam products all of them needed to be revised. All of them were not worth what I paid...I never learned my lesson...I ordered aam down pipes with their dumps 5 weeks ago, every week it is a new excuse, at first it was because their welders were behind, the second time it was cause their welders quit, the third time was because their new welders were learning jigs, the fourth time their welders were at HIN, needless to say after a month of holding my money they could not give me an exact date only an estimated date.
I called SGP an hour before they closed I received a fedex shipment notification 40 minutes later. Thomas @ SGp was great and the greatest customer service I received in a while. Two thumbs up they should be here tom and I won't have to reweld them or adjust them
