Guess we all owe him $10,000,000...Thats $10,000 per member of this site..

The original thread was tainted form day one and was set to fail. The whole way it all went down was pretty lame.
Bottom line the OP "thought" he made 450whp due to the fact that a shop out in the NY area, near Speedworld, sold the OP stuff he didnt need, such as the AEM standalone for $2000 and then charged him to tune his car, and had to justify to him the $$$$$ he just spent at their shop.
I explained to the OP that he would have been better off with the engine management the Procharger comes with, to run better and make more HP.
This was just another example of a business operating in a manner that VRT did and misleading their customers down the wrong paths, at their expense. The OP was definietly taken for a ride and the car was completely FUKCed up, to the point it didnt want to start, and then ran 11.0 AF at idle sometimes and part throttle. The tune was horrible off boost.

Let this be a lesson, to all..BEWARE fo the shops you spend your hard earned $$$$ in.

The high estimate you get from a reputable shop may scare you off initially, however it pays in the end to have a quality shop perofming the work on your investment..

Exactly. Some people on here get their panties in a wad about some of the "nut hugging that goes on here, but this is the other end of the spectrum. To me, it's been worth every penny to go to a reputable shop and know what I'm getting.

That REALLY SUCKS!!... Post the name of the shop to let others in that area know to beware of that place...

Make sure to research everything going into your cars and ask many questions... a good shop will answer all questions you have.

I would love to see how he handled this with the other shop too. Bringing to light their scam and giving them a good cussfest.

If the tune was really as poor as Julian mentioned, he would be doing the Z community a dis-service if he didn't atleast mention the name of the shop. This was a scam and everyone should be informed.

You guys must not have been following that thread close at all. He posted the name, address, and phone number. I called it just to make sure it was a legit number, and it was!

Here's his first set of dyno charts before he got 'tuned' to 450whp. Their address is 594 Sunrise Highway Baldwin, NY 11510-3039, and their phone is (516) 771-2525. You may want to look at this thread quickly, because it may go away fast when SlowHuh remembers it's still up.

He had a sweet AFR on that one dyno graph, lol.

Not to be a jerk, but honestly, after thinking about this, SlowHuh got screwed, which sucks for him, but he didn't really do his homework either, and that could have prevented a lot of this.

The ambient temperature when you car was tuned should be irrelavant. The hp # should have been corrected for density altitude.

Agreed. No matter how much (or little) you know about a subject, you can't behave like that and not expect the whole world to come down on you. Reading back over that thread reminded me how many people tried to help him, w/o any attitude or malice. His response was sarcastic, selfish, and downright lacking any human decency. It's very difficult to feel pity for someone like that. Anyway, it's over and done with. I am very surprised by how much he missed the 450whp mark. Wasn't he 100 short even after the 13% correction?

+10000000

If my builder (who I trust) told me that I have a certain amount of HP and someone told me I was wrong....I would argue the point until I was proven wrong. Yes, I may act like an azz h@le also. So we should not hold that against him. How do you think he feels now after realizing that he was taken?

He was man enough to show up even though everyone including me was thrashing him more than I would have done. The guy regains his credibility in my book.

Julian.....my offer still stands with the set of plugs. PM me for payment. SlowHuh PM me

If my tuner told me I made 1,000hp and everyone else said I didn't, I would behave like a total jerk, tell people I never met they sucked (all other tuners), and only show up after delaying it for as long as possible and was cornered with no way out. And when I made a measly 225, I would have all you kind-hearted folks, whom I insulted for the past 4 weeks, come up and feel sorry for me and give me gifts.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I will never be able to justify that kind of behavior in an adult.

Merry Christmas you filthy animal, and a Happy New Year!
