I guess that's what 4 G's will do to you on a stock pick up point. Hope there isn't any unforsene problems with this route.
this will suffer just as the oem unit on the road course. it is very important to run proper tank levels, just like on most cars, to surround the pumps with fuel. the design of the OEM tank is outside of our control, and therefore we only have the 4" diameter opening to work with. for a road racing car that wants to run low tank levels, an external surge can and a positive attitude about replacing intank pumps is required.

Replacing intank pumps because running dry transiently damages them? No way to have an intank air-fuel separator of some kind so at least 1 feed of several can supply fuel to the internal surge tank? I suppose you said an external surge tank is the way to do that, but you've got that canister that's gonna be full momentarily even on cornering, so just wondering if you could take advantage of that...

Regardless, your system was designed a certain way and I will make the changes needed to the siphons so they are correct according to your initial design.

When the car was started up and driven around the tank was just under 1/4 full and I did not notice and abnormal pump noise. But then again I was just driving like my grandma not Luie .

Just Drove the these twin pumps for 1100 miles.

We drove the car down from IN to Forged Performance and back home to NC.
We had no problems with the pumps what so ever.

We raped the car on the way down from IN to GA and never had any issues even with the tank at 1/4. The Pumps do get a little bit louder when they tank reaches 1/4 (letting you know to feed them).

On the way home we got on it a couple of times before it started raining, we where on track DOT tires (what idiot does that). Again no issues.

thanks for the feedback and good to hear.

do you have a fuel pressure gauge in the cabin? if so, next time you hear the pumps getting a little louder, see if the fuel pressure is flucuating at all. i hope they are not running into any cavitation. it might just be from less sound deadening as there is less fluid in the tank absorbing the sound

No fuel psi in cabin, but on a few of the runs I watched the under hood gauge... At idle and steady state it held solid with the needle fluttering very fast, almost like a vibration from the engine... This was at 1/4 tank of gas. As soon as you put it to the wood the gauge pressure would raise steady and hold rock solid to red line.

Unfortunately we were having intake manifold set backs and we were unable to do a run that would take advantage of the new system. Eagle is going back on Feb 4th with a replacement manifold to tune for the big numbers.

As far as the pump noise, i would tend to agree with you Charles... As the tank level drops the pumps get a little louder.
