How to change Procharger COG Belt?? PLease help

Default How to change Procharger COG Belt?? PLease help

Like the title says my cog belt decided lastnight when i was driving to shread to peices..so I pulled off everything and need to replace it...I have been trying all night long and cannot seem to figure it out..can anyone help me please?

there are three allen heads to adjust the tension on both the small belt and the large belt. the first thing is loosen the tensioner on the large belt first. then remove the idler pulley that the larger belt rides on. you should then be able to remove that one. Now if it is the smaller one, its going to be a little frustrating. Remember the three allens, well once you loosen them you can rotate that piece left or right. that tightens one belt while loosening another. so rotate it to make it as loose as posible and i did it like a bike chain. grab the cog pulley on top closest to the front of the car and rotate it while prying it off. if its sheaded it's easy but be careful not to damage the new one when your putting it back on.

it should take about an hour, good luck

one more thing if this keeps happening the cog pulleys go bad. they ware down and become sharp. Also after your done make the recomended tension should be 3/8 of an inch @ 20lbs. of finger pressure ( on both belts) this is achieved by rotating that piece with the allenhead bolts.
