I'm not defending Avalon Racing, but they've got to pay their overhead somehow. Superchargersonline probably only has a website, a couple employees to answer the phone and maybe a guy who's in charge of shipping. Hell, you could run something like that out of your apartment and a mini-storage place and nobody would know any different.

Yeah, and the reason they have this space I'm sure isn't to store stuff they resell. I'm sure they actually earn money from various services, which doesn't require ridiculous markups on products.

That said, they have absolutely no valid reason to charge $1000-$1500 overhead on a kit that could ALREADY be purchased online for $4500.

I appreciate your input, nevertheless.

Not disagreeing with you, but retailers will charge what the market will bear, it's just business. They were the first people to make it available and they weren't charging more than the suggested retail price. If they were I'd say they were ripping people off. Now that there's another competitor out there maybe they will lower their prices some. To call it a "scam" is wrong, more like taking advantage of a disadvantaged market.

Default Be careful guy's

Ati - Procharger is very very strick about dealer prices to the consumer.

1st of all we are an authorized dealer for them, so we understand the rules of bewcoming a dealer.

That price is way to low and I would be careful. We were told that volume dealers can not sell that low. altough they cannnot tell us what price to sell for, they can put mimimums on dealers.

Also note that the G35 kit is notr finalized as they do not have a car yet to insure fitment and plumbing issues. It will no tbe the same kit.

Please be careful - and insure they can deleiver at that price. Rigth now we are the largest deale rin the 350Z market for them.

Regards

Msink – If the belt comes off your car will run like it is stock. Pretty much you will only lose boost. It’s very difficult for the belt to come off, unless it is unaligned, the belt is old, or something is cutting into the belt. But, this is normally not an issue since your car will still be able to run on the street. You can get most belts over the counter at any local parts store half the time.

Nathan – The FMU used with the ATI s/c system will include an Electronic FMU, which can be used with a fuel system that does not have a return line. The ATI will also include a Walbro 240lph inline fuel pump to help increase the pressure for the Fuel.

Ricky – 1st question - The H.O. Intercooler is ATI’s High Output Intercooler. 2nd question – ATI has two systems for the 350z. One is a 100% complete system, which includes everything and the other is a TUNER kit, which does not come with the FMU and Larger Fuel pump. BOTH kits will come with an Intercooler.

Avalon Racing – We are a very reputable company and that’s why we are one of Procharger’s largest distributors along with most of the other supercharger manufactures that we carrry...we know our stuff...what else can I say. I have spoken to Procharger and the kit is for the Z. However, the same kit should fit the G35 and they will have the G35 kit released next week when they finish the R&D. Most likely it will be the same system. The only difference will be the tubing. Basically, say it is for the Z, but the G35 will be the same kit and be “officially” added on within about a week. And that’s why all of ATI news releases state 350z /G35.

Default Agreed - Force In

I agree 100%, but when we had our last meeting with ATI they were still waiting for a test car to insure fitment (earliuer this week)

We did not want to jump the gun until the fitment was 100% ready. Having worked on a ton of both cars we see no reason for it to not the G35.

We had no intention of questioning your company or knowledge. Sorry if you took it that way.

regards

No worrys...no hard feelings taken. From my understanding they will be getting the G35 car in early next week. The 350z was spotted at the track last week and it was hitting 13.2 with over 100mph track speed times. And I heard it was sitting on some 19-20 inch rims. Those are some very impressive times.

Then why not post the info so it's readily available in this thread?

ATI Procharger “encouraged” us to change the prices to comply with ATI’s minimum adverting appliance policy. There is a minimum pricing in, which you can list the prices on their products, if the price is below their policy then it is not acceptable with ATI and the price will have to reflex their requirements. You may sell it for less, but you may not advertise it below what they want you too.

No offense to you, but what a bunch of crap.

Basically they want to keep an oligopoly on the market. Had this not been a single firm, this would be classified as price collusion.

If a distributor wants to sell it at a price that bests all other prices, why in the world shouldn't they have the right to do so ? Obviously they're still making money and are happy with the fair prices.

ATI sound like a bunch of ******** who want to rip off the market.

Slay2k,

All manufacturers have policies like this, this is not just an ATI thing. This is to protect the smaller shops who need to make up their costs by selling parts for more money, with the invention of the internet it's not as effective as this policy once was, but those are the rules distributors have to deal with.

jak & sands,

superchargersonline is not an installer. They are a reseller. They probably have a list of performance shops who they've sold to in your area, but are not a franchise. You will have to find a performance shop / mechanic that you trust to install it. In my opinion the installation seems to be pretty damn easy. I'm gonna do it myself. I just need to find someone who can tune it properly after I'm done with the grunt work.

Default installers

We do installs and have 5 scheduled right now. we are developing additional install notes when we do thew first kit. We also know of a lot of shops that have installed the Maxima kits we have sold.

It is bolt in. Unless someone is mechanically challenged the weekend warrior should be able to install this kit. Tuning would be the trial and error method.

We will also have reference starting points for the FMU as well.

Actually SuperchargersOnline does do installs, but we are only located in California. However we do work with a network of install facilities that can perform the install for you. Pretty much any ASE certified mechanic should be able to handle the task. The install is about an 8 hour install, which is fairly easy. Procharger does have some of the best installation manuals out there in my personal opinion. I will do some research and see if I can find a shop in the MN and TX area that we work with. On Monday I should have this for you. Anytime you guys need help with something or even have questions I'll try my best to help you on it.

Slay...a distributor can sell what they want to but they just cannot advertise it below a curtain price. Over all it is a good idea to have these bench marks because it helps keep a fair chance to the local moms and pops store in a competitive market. Pretty much almost all manufactures have this rule and it's a pretty fair rule because it gives everyone an equal opportunity.

Aww no worries. A lot of people get confuse with that...they think we are just a resale facility. A majority of our business is resale and technical support since our prices are great and we have a knowledgeable staff, but we can also perform installs. We actually have a program in which these people were talking about in which an install facility contacts us and we send out an application to them. If they meet our criteria then we add them into our installation section on our site. It's a great networking program which not only helps other performance shops but it also helps the customer since they don't have to go find a mechanic. All n all we are trying our best to be a great resource for superchargers, and if your read these post we actually do know the ins and outs of these systems. Since this is what we love to do it makes it easy.
