Default Spare solenoid Control, V2.8 compatible?

edit:: well it seems that mid last year, even performance factory couldnt get v2.8 to run the spare solenoid (https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....injection+utec)

i found a copy of v2.6. can i copy my v2.8 maps to v2.6 and just change the parameter file?

Hey guys,

read random posts saying that you need the old version 2.6 to control the spare solenoid output on the UTEC. say it isnt so!!!

i've got my relay all wired up and it wont flip with the red solenoid wire, but if i ground it directly it flips.

Just to test, I set my "on" params to basically 0's for everything and -50 psi for boost and 8000 rpms for off? This should ground the solenoid wire just by starting the car....

is there something that I am missing?

thanks!~

we got the 2.8 to work perfectly if the motor is boosted. there are some top secret settings that you have to know. DONT run 2.6 on a boosted motor though. it will mess up some things.

I agree. I had issues with 2.6 pulling fuel and timing values from random areas of my maps at times.

its funny, it pulls fuel and timing for parts of the map thats not even there. luckily, its from a column that has A LOT of fuel in it...
