Vortech supercharger for 350 Z
Howdy. I'm traditionally a Chevy guy, but I love my Z. So, when I heard Vortech might be coming out with a kit for the Z, I started doing research. This may be old news to yall, not sure, but the fact is that a 2003 Nissan 350 Z is scheduled to arrive tomorrow at Vortech engineering. I'm told, it will take about 3 months to do the design/testing/tuning and another 3 months to do all the fabrication to be ready to go on sale. So, I'm told in 6 months there will be a Vortech supercharger to add to the list of the already available/soon to be available forced air induction modification kits for our Z's. My opinion--we should all just keep waiting . . . maybe a year or so . . . there will be more options, better prices, and more data regarding FAI for our Z's.
Traditionally, Vortech uses Centrifugal superchargers.
They also have the "Q" or Quiet serios of blowers which I hear are almost silent. That is another selling point of them.
They also seem to be a little cheaper than the 350z ATI kit.
