See that's the good thing, I have all the tools and the space needed to do something like that the only thing is, it would be so much eaiser to use a exhaust manifold that already places the turbo where I need it. Fabbing the pipes aren't nothing but time. I understand the whole 30,000 dollar car thing but at the end of the day, It's still just a car and it works just like any other car. I get FMIC's and piping for $300 bucks, garrett BB turbos (73 a/r) for $700. That's about a grand, now if i can figure out where to get the manifolds I should be good. Im not trying to sound like a ricer or anything but, there is a thing called Power to Cost ratio, 9 grand for 110 hp is not a good deal at all. That's why my Z has the bottle on it right now....100 shot=about 9x hp for 400 bucks! Now thats a good deal.

wow I just read the DIY post and well I cant say I was impressed cause it all seemed so straight forward, I was surprised by all the negative feedback at first. I was always a DIY type of guy with my 240sx, and one day would love to carry that over to my Z, however I haven’t searched around too much on FI on the Z.

One question I have on that guys setup, is he running stock exhaust manifolds? so that cross section just under the tranny comes from both stock manifolds, up to the engine bay for turbo positioning.. from my understanding, that’s pretty good.

That definitely seems like a great setup for me in the future, I rather do a single than having to custom fab my own turbo manifolds, way too much work on a Z.

On another note I can’t believe how tight that DP is coming from the turbo around the sidewalls of the car, and like someone mentioned I would have put the intake right above the FMIC.
