Default Vortech 303 WHP!!

I have a g35 coupe A/T built engine running vortech s/c

i got 303 WHP on a dyno dynamics (Tune is very safe, didnt push it because the knock sensor is not connected yet)

Before the s/c and the rebuild with N/A mods (exhaust, intake, plenum spacer, greddy E-manage Ultimate) i had 220 WHP

List of mods:
1. Arias heavy duty pistons 9.0
2. Eagle Rods
3. HKS Metal Head Gasket
4. Arp main stud
5. Arp Head stun L19
6. Heads Ported & Polished
7. 3.12 Pulley (Hitting 8-9 Psi)
8. Tomei Headers
9. Test Pipes
10. Borla True Dual Exhaust
11. NGK spark plugs one step colder
12. Emanage Ultimate
13. Inovate Wideband + A/F Gauge
14. 440cc Injectors
15. AAM oil Pan spacer

Cooling:
1. Koyo Slim Radiator (Fitting it soon)
2. Trans Cooler (Fitting it soon)
3. Stillen Oil Cooler
4. Thermostat

Questions:
1. Will my trans handle more power without valve body upgrade and torque converter?
2. If i upgrade to 2.87 pulley will i get slip problems?
3. Cog pulley, should i upgrade it and how much psi/whp should i expect?
4. I am running FMIC on the stock bumper, i heard someone talking about using fans to help with the problem, does it work and where do i get it from?
5. I live in a country where temp hits 45c + in summer, do i need anything else to help with the cooling or reliability?
6. Whats the ideal oil temp?
7. Any other suggestions that will help me gain little more WHP without spending alot of $$?

I know i have alot of questions, please help me out

short would be more than enough, thanx in advance

yeah if you have a built engine, get your money's worth out of it and start changing the pulley and fuel system out

I think most people are saying the stock A/T tranny is good for about 400 rwhp. but i would think the tourqe would be the determining factor on the failure point.

you should be at 330DD maybe.... i dunno...with forged internals you should be able to go pretty aggressive on the power.
You AT should handle ~~400whp
Who did the work?

1. yes
2. possibly no, if you do, look into some of the extra pulleys you can get and belt modifications
3. Are you on a REVUP or non-REVUP engine? You can change the cogs, but you need to be aware of how much you're spinning the blower and if you want to overspin it that much or not
4. Fans will help your radiator, not intercooler. Are you talking about fans for the intercooler? Dunno, I probably wouldn't bother
5. good oil. Vented hood might help slightly but not much really. Water/meth injection will help
6. IMO ideal is 180 degrees. That's hard to get in the summer
7. water/meth injection and more timing

those are good gains.... 80whp is a nice jump!!!....especially through the A/T .... (the weak link now obviously) .... im sure theres plenty of potential in the setup yet!.... you should be good for 330whp on the DD dyno... then its tranny time!!.....lol..

Does upgrading the tranny (VB, torque converter) help you recover the lost hp?

When I had my setup a few years back, I had an '04 with the 5AT tranny, the 3.12 pulley and put down around 350WHP on Shariff's DD dyno. I had no tranny problems except for the occassional bouncing off the rev limiter due to it not shifting fast enough. I just learned to drive in manual mode and all was good.

I sold my Z in January of '07. I miss her and everything surrounding the car! I am now rolling in a H3 and a Miata. Both of which are drastic changes from the speed and power of the Z. My wife and I were seriously looking at buying a used beast off here, but decided we did not need another toy at the moment. We moved into the house we built last May, bought the Hummer, bought a ski boat, and just built an in ground pool! So, we are severely tapped at the moment. I hope to get back into a Z some time in the future, I just don't know when.

To the OP, possibly one of the best mods you can do is to either swap out the rear diff from the 3.3 that is in it and go with either a 3.5 from a 6MT or even step up to the 3.9. That is going to drastically improve performance if you are not satisfied with the 303 you are puting down. I also swapped from the 3.3 to the 3.5 and it was night and day and I want to say it cut about a half second off my 1/4 times. The downside is higher revs, but I am sure you are not too concerned with that being you went FI.
