Default Finished installing uppipe. Open dumb WG

So, some might know my story about my weld breaking and i picked up my new pipe from VTR. This thing was a big pain in the *** to install. anyways, i didnt have enough money for 2 pipes that broke so i bought only the uppipe and just reused the broken pipe that went to the downpipe.

here is a pic of the old pipe being used to dumb the wastegate. I took it for a testdrive and i was suprised that it wasnt even that loud. I read on the forums, that it was gonna be LOOOOOOOOUUUUUUD but it was just loud. Im only at 8lbs so i guess that could be why.

Im just excited that my cars back on the road and boosting again. I just pray to god, this one wont break. As for the old pipes, im gettin those rewelded and sittin in my gaarage just in case. lol.

oh, and ill post a video as soon as it gets dry outside.

My dumps weren't that loud either. Though, dual 3" straight pipes didn't help much?

Just so you know... that flex pipe you put on the end will cause turbulence and might possibly cause overboost. I know a guy that installed a dump pipe with flex pipe like that and his boost spiked uncontrollably.

my open dumps on my Greddy twins are pretty damn loud. Someone recently descibed the sound as louder than any sportbike he's heard.

that might also depend on whch way he pointed that pipe. I can understand if he pointed that pipe towards the front of the car car and air going in while driving but mines pointing to the back so the exhaust gas is actually shooting in the rear direction. Can you try to find out which way he had his pipe facing? thanx

Alright guys, i got a couple of flyby vids but there is something that worried me when i was doing it. You can see it in the second vid. when coming back, my car just bogged the hell out and almost stalled. And when tryin to drive, i couldnt go past 2500 rpms. Everytime i hit 2500, it would bog and then backfire like a ***** and wouldnt let me go any higher. I was on the side of the road and my wideband was reading 10 even which is beyond rich. thing was wealthy as all hell. Can anyone tell me what the problem was.

oh btw, after i got it home, i let it cool off for about 2 mins and started up and went for a drive again. everything seemed fine.

Im just a little worried. other than that, let me upload the vids.

When my Z was running too rich it did the same thing you are describing. Are you pushing the same amount of boost you did before the broken pipe?
