Default inaugural run after 7 psi built engine tune

I thought this would deserve its on thread:

The 7 psi tune was basically my old tune with the stock block with corrected a/f's and no additional timing. 380.5 whp.

Forgot to mention it, but I had my car done less than 5 minutes before I was pulled over . The engine revs so fast in comparison to the stock block, I couldn't resist a little 2nd gear pull to see if she had any traction.

Needless to say screaming down Battlefield parkway in Ringgold isn't a great idea, for I saw the officer coming out of one of the shopping centers. I told my girlfriend to hurry and pick a restaurant, cause we were making a prompt visit. So luckily, just ahead was a Steak and Shake, we pulled in.

Sure enough here came the officer, and he waited until we had parked and were getting out of the car to blue light us. Can't say that I didn't expect it, but you know how that goes, lol.

I get back in the car and thought I have to bring my A game to get out of this . So a minute or so pass, and here he came to have a little chat: First good sign, he just asked for my license, so I knew he didn't have me on radar. He then said, that car looked very fast and I appeared to be driving a little reckless. I told him that I literally just had the car tuned not even five minutes ago, and I simply couldn't resist the urge to get on it. He said how fast did you get up to, (moment of relief, I knew that he didn't have me on radar then), without missing a beat I said 45!

Thankfully, he was a car guy apparently, because he said what in the world do you have done, I told him everything we had done, he checked out the car, and everybody left friends, lol.

I don't have the big tune yet. My big tune will have a minimum of a 5xx low boost . That will happen this coming Wednesday or Thursday.

I am keeping a look out in the classifieds for a valentine of escort. Haven't found a good enough deal yet. My cheapy radar was at home, so I had no protection.

The only think a radar can do for you these days is to tell you how big of a speeding ticket you are about to get.

Ya I guess out in the sticks cops don't care about speeding too much. Try living in Gwinnett county FTL. A ticket = money for the city. I can count about three times I've gotten off.

So do you have a complete list of mods for this build? I'd like to see. Good luck with it all. Can't wait to see the final results.

Count 1 for me, and it was close. I was taking my wife to deliver our third child and the cop pulled me over. I explained what was going on and he still ran everything and held me for about 7 minutes while my wife screamed through contractions. We didn't get the ticket, but it made us in a bit more of a hurry rather than slowing us down.

I have been pulled over 12 times in the Z so far. I got two tickets for speeding when it was N/A the first two months I ha it. No speeding tickets since the turbos were put on 2.5 years ago! Go figure.I got pulled over last month and the cop told me to pop the hood.We are in Cali so thats real bad.I popped the hood and when the glare from the sun bounced off of all the polished parts and blinded him, he was like this isnt stock. I was like nope, it is so fricken illegal............ and since I was honest, he decided to write me a ticket for tinted windows, tinted tailights,no front plate,etc....and told me he had to write me up for something if he wasnt going to tow it.LOL.

Do you ever run at Brainerd dragstrip? I would like to check out your car sometime. I have been thinking about a 350z for a while now.

Yep, it is just like driving on ice . I was actually thinking of hitting the drag strip on Friday, if weather permits.

I will have the big tune on there by then.
