most likely a bent rod. not sure yet, it hasnt been torn down. it barely cranks, and i got it turn over once but the whole engine sway sides violently so i shut her right down. there is oil pooling on the left side of the plenum by the spark plugs.

I feel your pain bro. I blew my motor last yr with the 2.87 pulley also.

I know this might be off topic but which would be faster, the tt vs the vortech T- trim if both were pushing around the same hp of 500whp?

I would think the TT setup would win but the more I think about it I'm not too sure. The TT would probably have traction issues compared to the vortech setup from a dig and their top end would drop close to around 450whp when they reach redline. The vortech on the other hand starts to shine bc it's able to produce it's peak hp on the top end. so will this be an even match or no way? What do u guys think? If I'm wrong, how much whp does a SC have to make over a TT to be able to beat it?

Goodluck Nexx. I loved my Vortech kit so much and I hope I wont be dissapointed going to TT. The only reason I an[m is because Im building the motor and it would be so much easier instaliing with the motor aout of the car as I will be doing alot of the work myself. I wanted to do the T Trim with the built motor but I was talked into going with twins.

thanks everyone for you words of encouragement. i just couldnt justify keeping the vortech when building the motor, i had to do the turbos. i really enjoyed the blower for the short amount of time i had it. i look foward to some serious torque.

You can hit 500whp on a serpentine belt with the right modifications and I am not talking about my custom setup.

I say be patient and wait for some people to finish their builds before you make your choice. There could be some very impressive results once people have finished their builds that will help direct your choice.

I raced a JWT TT 530BB with my Vortech on the Stock Pulley (350whp DD) and stayed even from 20-80. I am assuming he is making around 350-380whp as well.

I'll be really surprised if any one hits 500whp with the serp belt set up . Unless...like I said . You find the right dyno
