You would think at some point they would just stop. Doesn't it cost money to keep registering LLCs? Even if its not much what are they up to know 8-9?
It can get very expensive actually. There is a filing fee (I think around $25) but if you do it correctly and hire an attorney to set up your company for you there are legal fees. However I seriously doubt they did this correctly and only paid the $25 fee. BUT...if you don't file the proper forms and legally dissolve the entity within 14 days, there is a $800 minimum tax on partnerships and LLC's in CA.
