Default HKS SSQV fin inserts????

I have the HKS SSQV with the original silver fin insert. I know they make a purple insert and a gold fin insert. They both change the sound of the BOV. Has anyone used the purple or gold. Got any vids of the sound or there opinion on it. thanks

Also, is it possible to remove the fin entirely?

I was dumb enough to get a set of the gold inserts, looked at them side by side, the only difernce I could see between the silver and gold is the COLOR!!!
The fin design is the same, and they sound no difrent!!
I can get some picts. if you want.

I'm sorta getting tired of the chirping sound. If I remove my fin, will this eliminate the chirp?

Kevin,

It explains right here (http://intensepower.com/hksssqvinserts.html) that the only difference is color.

There you go, without the insert, with Original Insert, with Optional Insert.

i think the last one was purple.

Personally, i think it sounds the best without the insert at all.

First they show the BOV without the Insert at all, Second one is the Original Insert its in Metallic Color, Last one is the Optional Insert and its in Purple Color.

The Original Insert Comes in Three Colors, Metallic, Purple, and Gold, the Difference is the Bling only :1

Net: If you read my post you see that the gold & silver emit the same sound (high-pitch) while the purple gives a different sound.

To anyone who has swapped these out, what exactly is involved in the whole process of removing the fin?

Thats what I thought, but I was hoping for a different answer. Because of where my BOV is, this job is gonna be a pain in the ***.
