That will fit if you remove the metal bumper brace. I'm running a 28"x10.5"x3.5" core and I still have a good amount of room.

Keep in mind that you will need to relocate some other components up front such as the power steering cooler and possibly the horns. We ended up just removing the windshield washer reservoir altogether at a later time to make room for 3" piping. You will also need to find something creative to do with the air filter if it's a single turbo setup.

And yes, my avatar gives me chum...

the powerlab kit uses a 4" core and with VERY minor mods you can keep the full crashbar(not just the "cutted sides")...
i believe the wald widebody with the powerlab gt37rTT kti uses a 5" core FMIC

Slightly tangential to the topic, but relevant question I think: how big is too big and do you care if part of the IC does not get airflow? I have some thoughts, but no data... thoughts?

We offer a 5" thick FMIC for the 350Z rated good for 1750 HP.

Oh yeah? Well, I'm getting a 20" THICK core! Beat that!!!

Just kidding. Anyway, I'd only so go so thick with the core because you're eventually going to cause more turbulence prior to the radiator core. In the end, I'm sure its negligable. I'd prefer to maximize the surface area of the front of the intercooler in relation to the flow of the air dam before going thicker. Most of these are seriously overkill for the power levels these cars are making (mine included).

And yeah, that's an old pic of the setup. The piping and BoV config are all different now. Its really the only one I have with the bumper off.

With the right bumper - edit, with no bumper, it looks like a MAC truck!
