500whp+ and looking for traction on the street?
The tires are made for turning, so ideally you run way more negative camber than on the street. Thats not to say straight line grip wont improve with these and more positive traction that stock.

hrmm.. im running +4 in the rear with a 10.5" inch wheel lowered about 1.5" inches. the fenders is rolled and slightly pulled and have tons of space for a wider tire, currently running 275/35's.
alright lets do the math here... I know for sure I can fit a 275/35/19 with a +10 (had it that way for about a week).
my 275/35/19 is 10.75" wide
r888 305/30/19 is 12.3" wide
leaving a difference of 1.55" or roughly ~39MM divided by 2 is 19.5MM.
I currently have a 20MM spacer making my offset +15, so without the spacer the tire would be at about the same spot at the fender. I know I can fit the 275 with a +10 offset allowing me to put the 5mm spacer on and be at the same spot on the fender.
Now the question is, will the inside rub the coilovers and I'm really thinking it's going to. I guess It really depends on how flush the tires are with the wheels. Without a spacer my wheels had about 2MM of gap between them and the coilovers, so with a 5MM spacer the tires would need to be pretty flush with the wheels not to rub the coilover.
oh crap... 1 more thing to add. My 275s are kinda stretched on the 10.5 so I probably need take into account there won't be any stretch...now i'm thinking this isn't going to work
I think I would have to go with the 295/30, since it is 12.5MM smaller.
Anybody here run a 305/30/19 with full coilovers in the rear?

I have the 295/30/19 on a 10" +25 with a fully rolled flat fender lip -1.3 camber and they are soooo close to rubbing. I am amazed they don't. I have a few mm to spare. These are wide tires with round shoulders.
You could probably do a 10.5 +38 in the rear with a 305 tire without rubbing on the inside or outside with a fully rolled lip and normal camber.
You can't have aggressive offsets and run wide tires.

Jet what do you consider aggressive offset? I run softly rolled fenders at +22 10.5" 285/35 with no issues, not even close. Im going to run a 295 and then add a 5mm spacer essentially making it a +17. With the fender fully rolled I am positive it will work, and thats a pretty aggressive set-up...oh btw only -1 on camber. It also depends on how much you are lowered, Im not slammed by any means.

On my Volk GT-S +18 offset I had to have the back of the wheel machined by 4mm in the back to effectively make it a +22 offset. Doing this I was able to get my camber to -1.5 in the rear with 285/35/19 KDW2 rubber. Any more than that and I will rub and my fenders are cut (as close to the edge as I can get) not rolled.
I would love to run a 295 in the same tire, so let me know how that works out for ya.
for somebody looking at wheels now and planning to hit 5-6xxwhp would it make sense to go with 18" wheels all around or would the added circumference of 19s make a better feel/grip? Then, back to the 19sR & 18sF best option?
Also I see 295/30R19Y* supporting 10+ rim sizes. No way to make this fit a 9.5 safely?
Sounds weird to base rims on rubber. especially since I've never tested the rubber but traction looks to be a MAJOR issue with a lot of the boosted Z's i hear about on the forum.

The camber recommendation is interesting? Anybody know why they would recommend this?

Sounds like a great tire. i rock the bridgestone re-01r's. i've seen quite of few time-attackers use this tire in the street class. it has a 100 treadwear rating. havent checked to see what gear they would hook up in from a dig though. they are very quiet and perform well in street driving. just another option for those looking for a sticky street tire.
Werd! I might give the toyo's a try when these wear out. i've driven on them for about 2000 miles but 1000 of those were break-in miles on the motor. probably after this summer i'll swith out

Let us know how it wears and handles after a few thousand miles of abuse.
