for 18s or 19s? I am very impressed with the BFG D/R (295/35/18) for street use.

Dude, it's a quality tire. Go to tire rack and check the specs. it has a 140 treadwear rating, so it isnt gonna last over 10-15,000 miles on average. No street tire will be able to hook up with 550ft-lbs of trq(especially with a 275mm section width). you can go with something a little more aggressive, but then you are getting into DR's or circuit-track only slicks. i've havent had the chance to rock the toyo's but the RE-01r's are a very good street tire. they are quiet and when it's warm out, they hook well. i don't really get into dumping my clutch, so i cant say how they fare from a dig, but i feel this is a very well rounded performance tire. I've had ps2's and kdw's and they offered very little in the way of traction compared to my bridgestones.

Default R888 vs. NT01 in the rain.

I was sold on the NT01 for a daily driver until I read this.

Any input on the R888 in wet conditions?
Anyone have experience with both tires?

not if you want to improve your grip in the corners.

The R888's are great in the wet. It's standing water you have to be careful of. If you are on a well drained road surface you are fine. They do aquaplane easier than a full treaded tire, but they aren't to bad at full tread depth.
