I've tried messing with the adjustment. I loosened it all the way until it was LITERALLY falling off, then I tightened it back up... It is installed properly, with a line coming from the intake manifold into the TOP PORT of the BOV. The line is split to run a boost gauge.... But I'm still mainly hearing that "fluttering" sound even after tightening showing only about 4.5 threads... Hmmmmm. Could this possibly be a bad BOV? This just doesn't seem normal for a turbo'd car......I can't hear ANYTHING!

That fluttering you're hearing is likely compressor surge, not good. Come out to SweetBay in Brandon wednesday night, I'll check it out for you...

Can you elaborate a bit on "compressor surge"? And how bad is it and what effects can it have on my car??

Compressor surge is when pressure backs up back into the turbo compressor wheel when it's got nowhere else to go when the throttle plate is closed. That's what a BOV is for, it releases that pressure, which can damage your turbo.

So I went for a ride in Chris's car and I confirmed the bov IS working, but he's right though, you can't hear it for sh*t. Then I had him look into the actual bov while I revved it and it blew off in his face

revved it to about 3k and held for about a second, then punched it. Built enough boost to activate the bov

Yeah, you can build boost at idle if you rev it to redline. This turbo isn't THAT laggy.

I don't think fluttering is always compressor surge, either. It could be that not enough boost is being built to actually hold the actuator open. I'm assuming you rode in the car to make sure it was building boost normally?

Yes it was building boost normally and the car felt strong. You could barely hear the bov going off though, but it was...
