Seems like keeping the return line right next to the hot engine would help too. Thanks for that idea I'm going to do that with my Vortech. And yes, another good reason for stainless braided line is that the stainless steel sheath heats up and keeps the oil nice and hot as it returns to the oil pan, which helps flow. It also is rigid and keeps it from bending and forming kinks which will kill the turbo seals.
A 45 degree elbow is best, but in my case I'm only doing a 90 degree because my only option is the front of the spacer. The front of the oil pan spacer and the front sway have very little room to work with so it's a must. Also, with it in the front of the spacer it is a straight shot down. The small 90 degree back into the oil pan isn't a big deal from that angle either, because the forward motion of the car will help oil flow back out of the 90 degree elbow.
