Default Vortech 5psi.?

hello...im only getting 5psi WOT and 6psi near redline..
Stock Block
Borla Headers
Exhaust
Stock Pulley
JWT Flywheel/Clutch

My belt screech alot when i turn the car on...how do i tighten this belt? can someone please provide some Pictures with the procedure? please help

you are gonna see less boost the more you free everything up your gonna have more power and less boost witch is better and ALOT safer on your motor

Belt slippage and the free flowing exhaust is definitely gonna lower boost pressure.

Fig 6d in the Vortech install manual shows the factory idler pulley you need to adjust for belt tightness. As far as free flowing exhaust affecting boost, the freer the flow thru the engine the greater the power but a lower boost pressure.. Nothing wrong however..Tuning may bring out a little more power if you haven't already got it tuned. The out of box (w/o tune) generally gives around 8psi..

if your belt is screeching, thats why you have lower boost. its slipping. you need a 14mm wrench to loosen the pulley nut and then i think a 12mm socket to tighten the idler under car. Then retighten the 14mm idler nut.

Maybe you have the 3.33 pulley

Pretty sure he has a 3.33.

Tighten belt and you should be better off. You'll probably want to log some AF data afterwards though to make sure the tune is stable.

6psi is normal for bolt ons and 3.33 pulley.
