Default Vortech needs an idle bump

I'll be installing my Vortech in the next few weeks and I'm trying to find someone down here in the South Florida tri-county area that can bump my idle up to about 1200 rpms. I've asked several Nissan dealers down here and they are not so willing help. I'm trying to avoid sending it out to technosquare for a 500.00 reflash, when all I want is my idle bumped. If you can help me out with this LMK. Thanks.

It litterally involves attaching consult to car, going through the options on the consult until you find idle rpm. Make buddies with a Tech at a dealership and throw them some cash, should be fine.

1200 seems kinda high though, no? I'm currently at 890/900 right now.

I've talked with several dealers down here and I've been told that it can not be done (BS). Also another dealer (Maroone) asked me to bring the car in for a 500 dollar dyno plus a diagnostic test, again (BS) reason to dog out my car I'm sure.

Yea maybe 1200 is an overkill. I was just going by what Sentry65 posted on his Vortech FAQ thread. I think 900 should do it. I just don't want that rattling sound that vortech makes at idle.

Are any of you Vortech guys reflashing the ECU to scale your injectors, or are you letting the utec do it?

Do nothing till you have it installed, then give it some gas (idle) and see at what rpm you can live with..Can't get rid of it totally!

take it to a dealership, they should charge you around $80.00. they can only bump it a few hundred rpm though.
