Stillen SC installation improvements
I bought a used Stage 4 so maybe some of these have been updated by Stillen but I don't see them in the latest installation manual.
First, the obvious. Step 14, rerouting the crankcase vent pipe. I didn't like jamming a rubber hose against the injectors so I started exploring why they went that route. a rubber hose is too thick to fit under the pulley so why not use a metal pipe. the pictures tell the rest of the story.
2nd, the bolt on the lower tensioner is 3/8" but the bearing hole size is 12mm. option 1, make the adjusting slot 12mm to match the bearing. option 2, make a special 12mm bolt with 3/8" threads and install the threaded put through the slot (the nut on the back of the side)
3rd, why do they give you unplated bolts?
for $5,500 I should be getting gold plated bolts. anyway, you can get the same hardness bolts with zinc plating from fastenal. pictured
