Have fun dialing in the suspension on that ride! The engine is only the beginning not to mention the electricals. You can't just plop a motor into the car and crack open a beer...
Edit: it would be awesome, but not worth it

Also its a smaller liter but its a inline 6, just like the supra motor its a 3.0 liter that holds a record for 806 whp stock block! Skyline is nissans icon why not use the skyline motor and be different and very fast.

Since we are way off subject, why do the 2jz and rb26 sound soooo different, aren't they very similar? I've seen both cars with the stock twins, and 3 inch exhausts all the way back. Completely different sounds. The supra is low a gurgly, the rb26 just screams (no flaming, but think fast & furious 3, sound of the silvia in the beginning or mustang at the end)

BTW the rb26 is a 2.6L inline 6 cylinder. and you are better off going with a RB25 because the head actually flows more and the internals are 99% of the N1 block with a different stroke, not to mentio the trans will fit and the project is cheaper.

Yep, RB is design and 26 is size. just like VQ and 35 for 3.5L
Edit:
A buddy of mine has an RB25 240sx with gt35r, It was half the price as it sits and a similar rb26 swap and much faster per $.

an RB swap would be retarded IMHO unless you just so happened to have a built up bad-*** RB laying around from an old skyline project and nothing else to put it in. but to do it from scratch would be such a waste of money. The RB26 is a complete boat anchor compared to a VQ. Stronger pistons and rods to not make for a good engine, it just makes for a strong engine. The powerband the RB would make at the same HP level of a VQ would be near embarrassing in a Z33. The 2JZ is already a larger displacement engine than the RB and even its powerband is crummy compared to a VQ. When it comes to 6 cylinder imports, the VQ is the king of powerband and off-boost throttle response and boost transition. There is a reason the new GTR has a VR38, which is essentially derived from the VQ, rather than an old *** RB design... not even an UPDATED RB design, but rather an updated VQ... because the RB is old school and it just cant hang anymore other than peak output potential.

holy flaming batman LOL. i say if you wanna put a RB26 in ur Z i say go for it. Being different is always a plus. People are prolly hating cuz they cant afford one LOL. I seen the RB in the Z33 on a DVD before and it kicks ***. If i had the money to do a swap like that i would. the VQ is a power house as well, no doubt about it. I had a friend that did the Turbonetics single setup on his G35 and it runs like a champ. It has plenty of potential. But yea if you wanna do a RB go for it, dont listen to anyone. Sorry didnt mean to jack this dudes thread.
Im pretty sure you can find a T60 ball bearing turbo somewhere, and fabricate the rest of the stuff. My best bet is, get the Turbonetics t60 and go from there. Good luck

Before I get flamed, i know the rb26 is AWD so im taking that out and replacing the oil pan with a rb25 and running a rb25 trans.
HR's are bad ***. Just wait till this top secret HR comes out of hiding reallllly soon. =]
