Default AEM/FIC vs Greddy E-manage

I do have Stillen stage4. I will like to upgrade my Stillen ECU for AEM/FIC
According to this article (http://www.dezod.com/files/FICvsEMAN.pdf) the AEM/FIC is a good deal for the money. Any suggestions? I need you guys help.

Hello,

The AEM has been done by SP in Chicago, but there's problems with it, (drive by wire). A better options would be ProEFI:

www.proefi.com

You can sign up there and ask questions too -- get the answers directly from the manufacturer! Other options would of course be UTEC, Haltech, V-Pro, etc. I wouldn't go after AEM though (or Stillen).

Thank you for your input Darren. I don't want to spend to much money on a ECU. I just want to be able to tune my engine, ‘cause, I can't with Stillen ECU. At this time, engine is at 7psi, if I’m able to tune it, I guaranteed it will be better.

For the money, the FIC is pretty tough to beat. It works well and has alot of features including datalogging.

This is one of those things that is a catch 22. If you don't want an ECU, you can't tune your engine. An AFC, for FIC is a band aid product, and will ultimately cause you more grief than the money you saved. The factory ecu's in the Z's/G's are intelligent ecu's they ramp timing and fuel based on different circumstances, and are always adapting. Piggy back controllers can't "lock in" anything, so when your stock ecu decides to advance timing...guess what...so does your piggy back computer. THen...bye bye engine.. and you windup spending more than you originally hoped for building a new engine. Now your firmly in the hole, rather than being ahead of the game.

+11.7 billion

Standalone is the way to go, I would never recommend a Piggyback EMS, unfortunately some people HAVE to go that route due to their budget, if you must go with a piggy back make sure the tune is SUPER conservative.

If you are in a budget then why not go with Utec with Map Sensor? Utec > Emanage.
