I've never heated up my DRs on the street - not once, ever - and the difference between them and the street tires Ive used is night and day.

I've never heated my DRs up on the street and I get full traction in FIRST GEAR when it's warm out (70 degrees +). Nealoc187 can attest to this...he's been in my car plenty of times in the summer.

Pure and simple fact is they hook better then street tires, even when not heated up. If you have experienced different then your doing somthing wrong.

Well I just ordered the KDW's for the front and the 275 DR's for the rear. I'll let you all know how they work for me. Got my LMGT4's today. Thanks for your input everyone.

If you can change it I would get the 295/35/18. It is closer to the factory spec being 26.2 inchs tall compared to the 275 that is 25.5.

I just tried to change it, but they were out of stock on the 295's. Is the speedo ran off the rears on our cars? If so I'll just get the 295's after I wear out these.

1. Then quantify your argument. You and thawk are making conflicting statements in that he is stating they will never hook while cold, while you state that they hook just fine even in 40 degree weather. Obviously one of you is wrong.

2. What experience? You're driving around on 19's. Why aren't you running DRs?

3. It's still the fastest street tire time on this website. That being said, your time is pretty weaksauce as well, considering stock block motors with 150whp less have run faster times. I've actually never been too impressed with your drag times for the power and rubber you've run. You aren't good at driving when your driving habits constantly break your car.

4. Yes. You obviously don't know jack about ST's because they do NOT lag when you downshift into your powerband. If I downshift or go wide open in 3rd gear, power comes on every bit as fast as any TT car.

So quick to change your opinion? What happened to this?

Seems like you're just changing your opinion based on whatever the crowd is saying. Typical for the average user here.

add some thought here

I have a good friend with a 750rwhp supra that runs M/T DR's and he has no problem holding traction with them, also they are no shaky on the big end either with right PSI in the tire.
Another buddy with ~1000rwhp twin turbo cobra runs the MT drs and they are just fine for him as well, although the can get them to come lose lol.
And another supra friend with over 1k rwhp runs a DR (forget the size) and has no problem with losing it at high speed.

A DR is fine for street use, thats what they are for. do not drive them in rain though. Also with full slicks you will lose it on the big end but thats what skinnies are for.

THis is my friends supra, slicks skinnies for full boost + dig racing (pictured) and he runs the d/rs all the time for fun lower boost + dig racing

Listen you tool. Cold tires and cold weather are two totally different things. I can take my car out right now from not driving it all day and dead hook second in 80 degree weather. If its 40 degrees outside it wont hook for ****. There is a reason why most dragstrips are shut down during the winter....

Sorry you are having such a hard time understanding what I am saying. My statements do not coflict, but I dont expect a turbonetics nuthugger to understand anything.

Yeah im just the typical user with zero knowledge .
