Default How much did you spend on your build?

hey guys new to the forum. But i was woundering, how much am i looking at spending on a twin turbo set up for my 04 350z with 60k miles on it?

I know i want the Greddy TT stage1 set up, i want Forged performance to put it in.but for the complete kit, clutch, and exhaust what price range am i looking at?

Also would i have to build the engine for this kit? I am only looking at 350hp tops.

Do i have to replace the headgasket, rods, ect.?

And any recomended parts would be great guys
Thanks!

Why not just call Forged and ask for a price?

Twin turbo, new clutch, gauges, misc parts with installation will be at least 13k. I bought my supercharger and utec used and installed everything myself and with tuning and everything else spent just under 8k. Its always double what you think you are going to spend. Also all the little parts that are needed really add up. You should just call Sharif though as I know they have some specials on a tt kit with installation if that's where you want to have the work done anyway.

If 10K is your budget, your limited to the supercharger, Vortech+ Install+ "Quality" EMS=10K

Talk to Sharif. every build is different. you'll see numbers all over the place with a question like that. be happy with the fact you are going with a reputable shop and they will not try to screw you over.

It all depends on what your goals are. A supercharger will give you less risk at blowing your motor but will not feel nearly as fast as a turbo. I went supercharger because I wanted a lower risk form of FI on my car. I am very happy with how my car feels but not a day goes by where I don't wonder if I should of went tt. Ask Sharif about his deal on his Greddy tt package. You live in Atlanta so you are lucky to live near a great shop. Just remember (as many have stated time and time before) you need to ask yourself one question before going FI in your car and that is, Am I prepared to rebuild if it blows? I wouldn't spend your every last dime on your entrance fee to FI as it's just an "entrance fee" and only the begining. Hopefully you have a second car to drive also.

you can get a turbonetics st setup for around 10k. I have about $8,300 into mine including gauges and ems, but I installed it myself so figure + $2,000 for installation. the tn kit should definitly get you at least 350 whp too.

Stillens supercharger isn't worth the money for the power you get and there is no room to increase it down the road if you want to. There exhaust is a little louder than stock at idle and opens up when you floor it. I have been running it for 31k since I installed my aps TT kit. For the price of the Tn kit quoted above you can get a nice jwt tt set up for a little more money and still be within your 10k budget.,

Yes he is the owner. If I were you I would suggest reading the FI forum, but reading only. People will be less likely to give you serious replies if you are asking questions that have been repeated all the time. There even is a FAQ sticky that would be informative for you also.

On a side note Forged does quality work and the customer service is great. Had my stock block TT build completed in December and have loved it.

IDD! Blew my motor twice because of a bad install, than a bad tune. Keep it stock! It's a never ending street, but its a fun street
