I have the same problem with the Utec and rc 550cc injectors , I think the problem is the idle speed , the ECU is trying all the time to reduce the idle speed , and the bigger injectors doesn´t help too much , I´m thinking in raise the idle speed to 800-850 rpm , to check if the problem continuous or not.......

Like everybody says, it's tuning related..
I just got mine tuned. It's smoother than stock I swear! I have HKS 1000cc, F con v pro, GTM ECU reflash and GTM stage 2 turbo cams (272s).

but there you go saying you have the reflash so it it is not just tuning then.

can someone explain what is in the reflash???

I have pm'd GTM twice over the last few months for an explanation for the flash to see if it will help me, I also have the hunting idle at times and can only assume that it is the ECU trying to find an idle which it can't since it is only controlling the throttle and not the fuel. So I don't think it is completely tuning related if at one point the idle will sit around 950 and steady and then at other times it hunts bouncing between 900-1100

+1, I would really like to know some details also, I may have to include this reflash in my future plans.

Chances are no shop will respond to answer the question what do they do to fix the problem or what they do for the reflash. That goes against them making money. Just give us the car and we will fix it send us money you don't have to know what we are doing. Great support for the community.

If you search it, you will find out that Sam mentions switching closed loop idling to open loop idling in order to control the idle better with F con v pro. That's pretty much only thing I know about the GTM reflash. He also did some fancy things to prevent CEL, VDC, SLIP lights from coming on with F con v pro.

thanks, I guess I will try calling them since PM's go unanswered and see what they can do on a reflash to take care of this idle, and see what else they offer on the reflash, I currently don't have any other issues with CEL's

Default Gtm Spec Ecu Flash

From Our Web site

http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product...cat=487&page=1

Our GTM Spec ECU flash will eliminate any unnecessary check engine lights commonly found when upgrading to a standalone, but does not remove the important codes so they still come up if a problem were to occur. it also stabilizes the idle and eliminates idle hunt especially when using upgraded high lift cams ,This is accomplished by having full control over the ECU and making it stay in open loop during idle, We also adjust the rev limiter, speed limiter, Idle RPM set point, and remap the Throttle Control for better response.

GTM Spec ECU Features List

Top Speed Limiter
Rev Limiter
Idle RPM
Target AFR
Ignition Timing
Electronic Throttle Control
Open /Close Loop Control
Cam Phasing
Map Switching
