Hey guys so I finally got all my parts in and started installing the vortech SC..got the charger on, intercooler and piping in, injectors in, new velocity plenum in. Only thing left is putting in the walbro and couple odds and ends such as running vac lines and hooking up my aem boost and wide band. Got a couple questions.
1. I had to wire in pigtails or connectors to fit my RC injectors. Does it matter as far as + or -? I hooked them up in the same position as the stock as far as the wires are ran with the injector in the position they should be in ( in other words I just matched them the way they were ran on the stocks. Sorry if you don't understand that couldn't really explain in text what I was trying to say.
2. I'm about to install the walbro pump tomorrow. Anything I need to know or is it a pretty easy install?
3. I recently swapped my black kinetix plenum and 200 bucks for the shinny velocity intake and an aam throttle body spacer. (I have read that the velocity intake sucked at first but then they redesigned it? How can I tell if I have the new or old one? And is the throttle body spacer good for anything besides that it offers 3 vac ports. I've read about people loosing power with them in some cases.
4. After I get everything in will my car run decent enough to drive it 2 hours to z1 for tuning.. Not really worried about the sc part cause I can just keep it out of boost, but will there be any changes in the way it runs with the walbro and 440s on the stock maf and without a tune?

Sorry for making this so long.. I hope to have her finished up tomorrow or Wednesday.. I'm so freakin happy. Hoping everything turns out good.

Okay so I got everything on and the car is running great now without a tune and I've actually creeped it around my neighborhood, not getting into boost or anything. My air fuel ratio is good. Now I just gotta get her tuned.. I may have ran into an issue here. When I purchased my SC I was told that it had the factory pulley from vortech which I believe is 3.33. Anyway I decided to measure it and it's actually a 2.87 pulley. Not sure exactly how much boost this pulley will create. Would it be fine to run with my setup on stock internals? Do I need to purchase a larger pulley? I know the previous owner ran it on his car with stock internals. Not sure for how long tho.. Trying to get any info out of him is like pulling teeth.

^ its a crap shoot with that pulley. looks like you have a revup (can you confirm?), so i'd go with the 3.12" pulley (which is stock for your car) if I were you.

Keep smaller pulley and make more conservative tune to be safe. And just enjoy your SC .

You think it'll be safe on stock internals? Also I'm trying to keep my stock maf as well if possible. Will this pulley make too much power for my stock maf?

You will probably need upgraded maf. Make conservative ignition timing map, rich fueling on boost, use high octane fuel only and it should last.

As long as you have a Proper Tune, the 2.87 is Fine. Stock Internals can Handle about 400 Wtq, you will be way under that.

Stock MAF should me fine at that level, but you are in the upper Limit. But I should also note, that you are in the upper limit for 440cc injectors.

PM me if Needed

This is the worst advise ever.... What advise is this?

Conservative ignition timing map ? What does that mean?

rich fueling on boost? What does that mean? What is Rich?

high octane fuel only? What is High Octane Fuel?

Safe tune. Ignition timing a few degrees below* MBT or even less if knock occurred before reaching MBT. AFR 11,8 or richer. Both will cut some torque and power, but will for sure keep engine alive. I don't know what octane fuels are available to OP, but I would use the highest rated one.

I'm attempting to make an STS rear mount turbo kit for a de car fit my 07 HR and will have a few questions in the upcoming weeks. Not sure if they should go here or in the vq35hr thread but nonetheless I need to know whether the HR oil pressure sensor is the same thread/size/location as in this pic of sts' picture of the de model. My kit did not come with that brass fitting for the turbo oil supply line, and I'm wondering if I need to order it if it will fit an HR or just use a sandwich plate for the supply lines.

but by looking at this pic of an HR I found, it doesn't look the same, so it may not work anyway?

Is the turbonetics turbo kit junk? Would it be worth buying and installing on my 350z or better off buying a Vortech for a 1000-1500 more? Theres a full kit on ebay right now
for 2500 BIN http://www.ebay.com/itm/infiniti-g35-350z-turbo-kit-/261233267436?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cd2b752ec&vxp=mtr#ht_354wt_941

Stillen Supercharger: Some people prefer the roots style supercharger (That's the one that goes on top of the engine for you noobs)

(Because Ive seen this 100 times already) This is incorrect. A roots-style supercharger is different in many ways. What these superchargers are really is whats called a "Twin Screw." There are many differences between the 2 and no you cannot buy a "Roots-Style" Supercharger for any Z.
