here is my engine setup...
Vortech V2 complet kit with custom CAI
Berk Metallic High Flow cats
Skunk 2 power exhaust
Motordyne intake plenum spacer 5\16"
JWT oil pan spacer
Stillen oil cooler
JWT clutch/flywheel combo
and I'm running the 3.125 pulley and it still pretty rich ! a 10 air/fuel ratio !!!
(that SS box is a ***** to tune !)
I'm thinking about the 2.87 pulley... and my question is:
why should I upgrate my fuel system if I have plenty of fuel ?
thanks for the comments !

well... that's a good question, I want to know the answer too. My car was too rich with the 2.87 pulley on stock injectors. It reaches 9.8 AFR in mid range and 11.3 on redline before tuning it. And the 395whp was done before the tune!
Not sure if we need bigger injectors at this stage

do you have headers ? I thinking about this too... but it's look like to be a pain in the *** to install... and for small gains...
hey thanks !
i would not even mess around. if you are going 2.87 go with 550 injectors, return fuel system and 255lph pump. this is the most common fuel system setup for people running the 2.87. it has been proven and it is solid. that is why i went with this setup and it has not failed me yet!!!!! when i stepped up to the 2.87 pulley i ran out of fuel on the high end around 5500 rpm on up on the stock injectors. i just decided at this point to turn my vortech kit into a tuner setup so in the future stepping it up more would not be a problem fuel system and ecu wise.

But anyways, in both cases you wouldn't be pushing your car unless it is tuned safely and AFR checked

it do not make any sence to me...
why, to put more fuel and become piggy rich ?
just go with bigger injectors, walbro pump and Utec and you will be pleased with the results in the long run. That way you will have room for upgrading to more boost exc. way easier with the utec and having plenty of fuel. I only make it to the 60% column at 7lb with utec and 600cc's.

I agree I was 98% duty cycle at 5,400rpms on the stock 280's or 290's, don't remember so don't hold it against me. I know how people like to correct. Better safe than sorry get larger injectors...
The 2.87 pulley is 1 step up for us with RevUp engines. Our Vortech's come with the 3.12 pulley. For non-RevUps, it's 2 steps up from the base 3.33 pulley. You might be able to get away with stock injectors and the base fuel set up with the 3.12 pulley but if you go 2 steps up to the 2.87 pulley, you are asking for BIG problems if you don't do some upgrading. Like others have said, at the very least go with 550cc injectors and the Walbro 255 and get a good re-tune.
