Default Finally up and running!!

I post update in my Z33Art thread in the "shop builds" forum regularely as some know. For those that don't go there much or at all for that matter I wanted to post a link to the first (crappy) video of my car along with some pictures.

https://my350z.com/forum/shop-builds/317810-my-z33art-custom-supercharger-build-pics.html

I apologize that it is not really edited as my friend uploaded it late at night for me and didn't have time other than to upload it to youtube.

The first real clip at 14 seconds is a 3rd-5th gear pull (5th only to 5000rpms) and the final clip is 1st-3rd gear pull from a slow start with no traction. The clip in between of me driving towards the camera with part of my undertray hanging is was just not edited out (lost a bolt which I pulled over and replaced from my bucket of spare parts I brought along).

Yes there is a huge hole in the hood for air to leave the v-mount. It is going to be covered with a custom louvered panel I was supposed to have by Friday but obviously didn't get yet. Looks ugly right now but it should be good looking when I finally get it all finished.

It's been a long road to here, but it is almost over and Jeremy at Performance Factory should be out here in June to tune it for some good power.

Another good thing was that intake temperatures didn't get above 20C all day even on the hard pulls.

The other thing is that since I have my blower in air flow and down low away from the hood I was amazed at how cool it ran. I honestly don't think that my case got above 110F and was just warm to the touch.

Looks nice. I'm interested in seeing how all this work paid off.

Oh, and it sounds like your friend is taking a dump while filming the video.

What are your expectations for Hp and Tq following the tune?

Cool setup, wonder how that will work out if it rains though.

Props on this setup, looks sick!

Lol. Now I can't watch this video anymore because I will be every time it gets to that part.

It should be a good pay off in the end... especially since I still have a couple more suprises coming up.

Overall though the payoff is that I built/designed this entire setup and it actually became more than just a pipe dream like we see so often online.

With the louvered panel it will be no different than some of the other hoods out there with vents.

Wow, nice work!

With the filter placement, I'm guessing you plan on never driving it when it rains?

I am going to make another pipe eventually that will go the same direction as the pipe leaving the intercooler and stuff a different air filter in the fender. It is tight but it will work. For know I won't drive in the rain as I don't really go far from home anyways.

Lol. It is bout time. Oh well, patience is what has got me here. I could easily replicate this kit but I just don't think there is enough people that are willing to take such a big dive.

This setup basically requires solid motor mounts, no A/C, modified power steering lines, cutting and welding of some various engine parts like the thermostat and relocation or elimination of the horns and air bag sensors up front.
