Hmm....I know others may disagree, but washing your engine with a ton of water is not a good idea.

Let the engine bay dry out in the sun, and try again. If the engine is running this poorly, surely there will be a check engine light. Have you scanned for codes?

I one time washed my MR-2 engine like that and ruined my knock sensor and the car went into a safe mode. Do what Sharif says if you have an engine light on. If you can get some compressed air try blowing everything out. Maybe use a hair dryer after that.

let it idle for awhile with the hood shut. it will heat everything up and hopefully dry it out. fyi- i only wash my engine bay with the engine running. that way if you get something wet and it doesn't like it, you know exactly what you were spraying. and just use a regular hose to do it, not pressure washer or high pressure hose.

I know this will sound obvious but check all sensors of course.

Also check your grounds. VQ has teeny ground wires (and several of them) and if they all don't have a solid clean connection you can get wierd stuff going on. True I would to expect some wierd check engine light codes but ya never know.

First, dude, please learn to use commas, periods, etc. We aren't trying to be dicks about it but it makes your posts seriously irritating to read. With that said:

Were you getting the multi-cylinder misfire code before this happened? I know that code and FI sometimes go hand and hand with FI on the Z, but if it only started when your problem started then you might be on to something there. Second, since the problem originated after you washed the engine you can bet it has something to do with water, and/or the force of the water pressure knocking something loose. Never hose your engine with pressurized water. I will assume it was pressurized since I dont know of any do it yourself carwashes anymore that aren't.

If you took the car to Nissan already, and they changed the MAF - but it didn't help - why didn't you take the car back to them?
