Booger....sorry for taking this thread OT...

 

Well some not so good news . Every time the shop tried to do a power pull to redline on the Mustang dyno to get a dyno graph to print out . The blower belts teeth would get ate up . We can get it to redline driving it on the street . But the big load the Mustang dyno puts on the rollers when doing the power pull is to much over 6500rpm's . So no dyno charts on the Mustang dyno . Im going to try to take it to the DynoJet the week of the 9th of June and see if we can get it to redline for a dyno chart .

 

I have the exact same problem.. I could never get it to redline on Sharif's DD dyno (some serious load) but yet when i took it to a dynojet it did get to redline.. The belt jumped but it didnt rip the teeth off.. Ill get my new dyno tomorrow and post the results......

The Haltech is a pretty nice piece . The car starts and idles real well . I may need to bump the idle a bit as I got it at about 750rpm now . Does anyone know if the Haltech can adjust the idle ???? The car pulls f-cking hard as hell and keeps pulling till you let off the gas . Since we couldnt get a full run on the Mustang dyno , I'll will try to get it to a Dynojet next week and post up a dyno sheet .

Btw i went to a dyno today.. Wasnt a dynojet.. Gates belts were flying around.... It logged 13.4psi and the belts kept breaking before it hit 16psi.... I was fed up after the 2nd belt broke so i gave up.. I cant find a better belt.. I may call gates and discuss some options next week..

Ive emailed Gates about making a belt for me . You have to buy the whole run [ 100 belts ] to get them to do it .

 

Glad your up and running and congrats on the numbers. That kind of power from a Vortech has to feel amazing. No lag, all pull.

never really asked . But to buy one belt is around $35 . Im sure there would be a price break but I think you get the idea of what it would cost .

The run would be one big fat belt that they cut into thinner belts . Thats why we would have to buy the whole run .

 

So.. one belt run would be 3500...

no chance on geetting to the dyno this week .

Im having deck stairs built and a new roof put on this week . Starting on a new sea wall next week .
