stock innards, yes. Julian pulled the 385 right in front of me too....just amazing. The coolest part was watching the extra air blow out the BOV in a 3 foot white plume....BAMF

its amazing what larger piping and a properly diverted wastegate will do. the turbo is a carbon copy of the aps turbo, housing and all, i really like the way they run the wastegate gases. this IS a very nice kit.

im always worried about the locations of these turbos tho. on my last 240, i used a "real" gt35r, and that SOB got hot as hell, it was much farther away from any parts than in the Z, but it actually melted my brake booster reservoir, and it was 6 inches away. it did help 100% when i wrapped the downpipe, but the housing still would glow under long hard runs, BUT mine used short runners and the turbo was only 4 inches from the head but still, im always leary about having that turbo near all those essential parts.

Very nicely done kit!!
Ill post the graph tommorow, Im dead tired and at home now..
That's one hell of a difference from my dyno,

8.5 PSI

I guess it's true Daves dyno always reads low.

Jeffie, if you have DD 373 hpr at 8.5 lbs this would correspond to my 335 DD

EDIT: I retract what i said....I have no clue about dyno comparison so I'll be quiet...haha

aps st uses a bastarized version of the gt35r thats is highly inneficient as you raise the psi..the housing provided with the aps st turbo sucks.

The PL kit uses a true garrett gt35r turbo

Well if you made 335 on a DD and Jeffie made 373 on a DD, essentially that would put Jeffie @ roughly 420 on a DJ, but that is complete speculation. The only way to know would be if jeffie dyno'd his car on a DJ @ 8.5 psi

Again Congratulations on your car!!! Also, Congratulation's to Julian and MRC for another solid car!!

the aps used a E housing, so does that turbo, i asked about it when they first released it. a "true" gt35r uses an S cover, the larger .70AR, this housing aps and PL uses is a small E housing, which is something like a .50AR. pretty much the same turbo, actually, i think the aps turbine housing is bigger.

the aps used a B housing, so does that turbo, i asked about it when they first released it. a "true" gt35r uses an S cover, the larger .70AR, this housing aps and PL uses is a small B housing, which is something like a .50AR. pretty much the same turbo, actually, i think the aps turbine housing is bigger.
well THe PL kit doesnt use a .70ar it uses a Garrett GT35R Dual Ball Bearing Turbo with .82 A/R Turbine, ... i would like for you to try to get the stock aps st turbo to flow past 500whp....
feel free to talk to gtm about it... they've been working on that damm turbo for dons setup to get it to flow to the desred levels the customer wants ....about 520-550

I think Julian may be able to squeeze 400 DJ without raising the boost....time will tell. I am curious to see his roa tuning impressions.....nothing can substitute realtime driving data

no i said i think, ive never seen the PL in person. but the APS was a .82 but internally wastegated.

if you remove the PL turbo and put the APS turbo in its place, the results would be close, aps used small piping, PL doesnt, aps used that crappy internal design and horrible downpipe, PL doesnt. thats the big difference. i didnt want it to go this route, i just stated the turbos were very similar.

quicksilver---->.70AR comp housing/ .82 turbine housing.
