Default Borla good for SC???

I was wondering, many have said that you need 3" inlets to run a SC effectively. The Borlas have 2.25" inlets and I was wondering if anyone thought that it would be bad for me to buy the borlas if I am thinking of an SC in the future??? Take into account that I would be considering both the borla exhaust and headers together.

Ask MaxHax what he is considering. I think that since the Borla is true dual you can get away with 2 x 2.25" pipes, but if you use the stock style exhaust, you should seek out 3" piping. I'm pretty sure that's what he said.

It should be fine...

A S/C is not like a turbo setup, on a turbo you want to go with the most free flowing exhaust so the exhaust can make it out, because the turbo spools off the exhaust (thus if the exhaust is not free flowing the turbo will not spool as quickly).

The stock exhaust is a little restrictive for a S/C, but the Borla flows plenty well. Some high flow cats (when available) would help out nicely (as would headers). Actually, something like the Borla would be great....
