I'm driving my car to work today and start noticing a strong fuel sent. Before I leave I decide to crack the hood and make sure everything is good. I open it and start looking, nothing stands out. I started the car and there it is, the same spot that you mentioned is leaking from my FPR. Luckily, I always carry a set of tools in my car. I busted out the allen wrench and tightend that plug in the front up, then restarted the car. No fuel leak anymore. So I'm driving home and while driving well within the law ( ) I notice that my car has a little less top end power. Am I crazy, or does tightening the damn thing mess up my fuel system? I called Dave, it's the 4th so I don't expect a call back untill Monday, but any help is appriciated. To nice a weekend to not be driving the Z

Did you notice more fuel coming out after you drove it?

I just got done driving it around for a little while. No leak and it is dry on the outside. Everything seems to be fine. I think the power loss is from the heat not the FPR issue. Wish they would have made some kind of lockwire hole for it. Guess there is nothing left but to wait and watch,...fun.

Glad you got it sealed up. Nothing like that smell of strong raw fuel while your driving. I'd give it a couple more days and then double check it again and make sure its still tight.

Seems like you're N/A...you don't need a FPR for an N/A 350Z.

hondabond is a type of RTV so it will work just fine. I personally use teflon tape because it's less mess.

used the yellow inside/yellow outside (container) gas tape, looks like that was what was on it. the tape may break down again in the future, but it's so easy to fix, it's not an issue.
