hello everyone i had a crash with my car so , cut a long story short i needed a new intercooler and pipeing, ordered the part, the parts came and the cooler was complete different type and pipeing were not black crome like the one i had on the car before, i told the distributer about this and he told me that that are the new coolers that turbonentics have they dont make the old one anymore, now this to me is ******** as there website only shows there older thick cores, i am either getting ripped off or its true, could someone confirm this please, ive attached the new cooler and the old one before i removed it, old one is the one that comes with the turbo kit and what i thought was the replacement

yeah that's the same intercooler I got. I got my kit about a month ago, but my piping looks the same as the piping I'm the spearco pics.

 

I like the new one better. Wanna trade?

 

my supplier sent me an email stating that turbonetics have changed there coolers and do not sell the black chrome pipeing anymore from April this year, also the new cooler are supposed to be better flowing

 

It's still a "Spearco" core, they just mark it as Turbonetics now on all of the intercoolers sold with kits. I don't actually know about the black chrome piping.

 

Yep, just installed one and there is no black chrome. Not sure which I like better.

 

you have a little Z antenna poking out from under your engine..... I'm guessing that is your dipstick.

 

Yes, it replaces the ugly yellow handle on the dipstick. Got that from Terry at Zeetoyz.

The one above is my husbands car and mine has the black chrome with spearco on the intercooler. I am thinking the black chrome looks better with the dark cars maybe?



It was definitely a shock to open the box at install and pull out chrome piping, rather than the black. Does anyone know if the new intercooler is smaller than the one that says spearco, or is it just me.

 

i need the exhaust pipe part # 21184 off the turbonetics kit if anyone has it. thanks
