haltechs nice, pricey but almost any shop can tune it. fcon is nice, real pricey and can only be tuned by an authorized tuner. Utec is cheap, does the job and tuning is fairly simple. emanage is ****, crap and will blow up your car.
I have a utec myself

We did, but by the time its all said and done, a plug and play modded AEM box to run a VQ is about $5K.
Have one in stock if you would like to run a AEM

I want to replace my UTEC with something too. Proefi, Haltech or Fcon...
TN reflash over UTEC is ugh. Hot starts, idle drop and jumpy when you back off the throttle.
Not sure either and need to find someone to tune/install in Washington State or close.

I had a UTEC on my WRX no problem and easy to tune. If you need a retune done in Washington take it to World One or HPF. I've had work done by HPF and don't know if they're doing work on other cars right now cuz they've been swamped with orders for the HPF750 turbo kit for the e46 m3's but I've heard nothing but good from World One and talked to a few reps and they seem to know their stuff...

I'm running the Pro-EFI and so far I love it. My high boost tune is being done this week along with my spacers and a polishing my intake piping. Once that is done, I'll post some more information on what I made with the standard Greddy TT kit. The Pro-EFI EMS seems to have a lot of functionality not available on other systems and the price isn't bad.

I'm going/went (being wired in now) PRO-efi. Plus having Sound Performance 20min away and doing all the work isn't bad either.

OP-whatever you decide, remember its not the system that makes the biggest difference its the tuner, trust me on that.
