Word from Paul at Avalon was that JIC thought the clutch was good to 400 hp. Apparently JIC has pounded their project car for a few months now and the clutch has held up well. I wouldn't expect the tranny to suffer - the 300 twin turbo's tranny didnt care how much boost you dialed in, it was all about clutch wear.

OMG, The bad thing about ones wife looking over the shoulder and explaining what a procharger is the look on her her face trying to explain why a 6k gadget is necessary for my car. Man Im going to have to do alot of *** kissing for me to get this. It will happen though trust me it will. I need and must have it.

Yeah when I was looking at the pictures and my girlfriend started looking at them over my shoulder, she made the comment "how come you don't have one of those yet?"

Then I told her they cost $5500, at which she replied "wow." End of that conversation. :-)

YES ! This site is not only about cars.. but also a Dear Abby regarding marital relations -- and how to tread carefully.

My wife loves cars.. but zero interest in any mods. A pre-nuptial agreement and understanding is absolutely needed.

Soooo... the only thing that bores her is my talk on what I want next. My decision.. no agrument... (well, almost) ->

Damn... I wish that Procharger were sold in Japan !! Initial results are unbelievable --- and hope the ongoing reports continue good.

maybe rps will come out with a clutch. my 91TT with 400hp, (forget which stage that was, but intake, exhaust, ecu), wouldn't go much more than 30000 on a clutch.

But then that gets you to an interesting trade-off. I had a Jim Wolf clutch in my second TT and it was a LOT stiffer than stock. When it finally went I replaced it with a stock unit. Yeah, you had to replace it more often but it was a lot more fun to drive....

my 350's bone stock under the hood right now. is the procharger kit all inclusive or are there other mods that i would need to do for this? after readin about the procharger on this and other threads, believe that i'll be picking this one up.

Yes, it has everything you meed in the kit. The only thing you will need to do in addition to install is take a few things away. You will need to trim a few slots in the emgine bottom cover to clear the IC bottom mounting brackets and you might want to trim an oblong slot in the driver side front fender liner where it goes over one of the IC pipes. If you dont it will make the liner bulge into the wheel bay about 1/2" to 3/4" and it might cause rubbing if you don't.

Ok, i'm curious...what the estimated 1/4 mile time with this procharger? What SC/Turbo yields the best gains?
