will 2.87 pulley blow my motor/ no internals
Hey guys I just talked to a local shop and asked about upping the boost in my car from the vortech 3.33 pulley to the 2.87 pulley, its a 2003 350z I dont have stock internal work done at all I have a kinetix, full return system stage I, 600cc injectors and exhaust testpipes back, Im using a utec as engine management , I was told without internal work I will definetly bend rods and blow my engine. is this true?

I had an appointment today to go to GRD to get all this done and I was at a cruise night Sat and another guy there who was talking out of his ##$ about stuff he is planning on doing to his z told me they arent good and that he would only go to ultimate z, so I called them and the guy obviously had no idea what he was talking about b/c he told me there is no way that I can run this and that it would only be good for 2 possibly 3 dyno pulls and my engine would be done. I plan on running a Utec and an AAM full stage I and a snow stage II kit with 600 injectors, he told me the internals are good for no more than 7-8psi which is pushing it.
But is GRD good with Utec and wont blow my engine?

7-8 psi being the max on a stock engine for only 2-3 dyno pulls? lol
There's been people running 15 psi on stock engines and though they didn't last long, they lasted way longer than 2-3 dyno pulls

You should be fine. What have you done to free up your exhaust? The more free flowing you can make things the less boost your engine will see. But don't go too big or you will lose your bottom end power.
my setup in sig isnt exactly the best choice, but was done on a budget very well by performance factory, i peak at 10psi 2.87 pulley and have had 0 problems.... besides traction, luckily that has been addressed
think new injectors and at least a 255 walbro would be advised. More air = more fuel or you will lean out very quick

no they're absolutely needed unless you only want to rev to 5000-5500 rpms because going above that you're going to run out of fuel real quick

no one is the same...
some of it will have to do with your elevation with how much fuel you actually need and obviously the timing/tune.
Otherwise you can always push the stock injectors to their limits, but you're still risking the engine if one of the injectors fails from being run so extreme
