Default WTF is turbonetics talking about!!!???? (warranty issue)

I had to send my turbo's back to turbonetics for them to rebuild them due to them failing after only 5k miles. So i call them yesterday to see how the warranty process is coming and the customer service lady tells me that they have been flagged as being not being covered under warranty. They are saying that the oil filters were removed from the turbos????????????? These turbos were purchased brand new from turbonetics and were installed by Forged Performance (which did not remove anything). The customer service lady then tells me that she asked them to remove the flag and to have the turbos re-evaluated for the warranty claim(which i am praying to god they pass). Now i am not a expert on the internals of these things but i did not know that they had internal oil filters. I have a sneaking suspicion they are trying to dodge the liability. Any input???
