Remote turbo
Why not just admit that the rear mount kit has been proven to make hp. It's just that simple. I don't see the point of arguing about this for ever there are "turbo gods" that live here, and no matter what one says they will tell you that you are wrong.

I never promoted any kit in this thread. I just think its funny how you think you can come in and dominate and everyone is supposed to say....
ok he spoke...dont challenge him...I have read a lot of your post over the years...I normally dont post much, but work is slow and this is entertaining for me.
Maybe the east coast is a bunch of yahoos because we had many kits spiking and blowing up the stock blocks, you claim they were built for. Yes now they are ok. The STS kit blows too IMO and if you run CATS be prepared to replace a turbo everytime you loose some CAT guts... This is my point...him building his own kit and doing the fab work himself cant be as bad as the initial TN or STS kits....with everything...its gets better.
You cant tell me you built your car and everything was perfect out the gate, nor can we expect that from STS or TN or GREDDY...or this guy. I just think you jumped on him waaay too agressive for his comments and opinions is all. You have knowledge. I never said otherwise...but if you can get anyone to want to hear it...it only helps you.
I will find the TN spike issues or the 3 or 4 people here that had them back in 2005/2006 that had issues. It took a loooooooooong time to make 500 wheel in a TN kit. I only referenced TN kits because you have one. Its like me flying a rebel flag driving a TOYOTA! doesnt make sense. If you know a lot about turbos yet you have a kit that has proven defects....you may have fixed them..but why buy something half azz if you are knowledgeable in the area of turbos and effeciency....that doesnt seem effecient to me.
I dont really care about the effeciency numbers or boost. My main beef was you high horse and the talking down to the OP. Thats the attitude that made me post stuff just to ruffle your feathers....
sort of like if you can dish it... you can take it right?
lol

What the OP was saying was the spool is spool. You can get to JWT kits and one may spool 100 rpm faster than the other... kit..why..who knows..but they both will reach max boost. I think that is what he was trying to say. Its like if you make one error in a post (while doing other things like working at work) people get all bent out of shape and talk to youre like an infant, tell you how to spend your time and money,
when in fact, anyone can read a post and find fault in anything anyone says....
I still find this funny how the emotions get so involved in an internet forum...geesche!

I say go for it. Once I get my vq35 in my maxima I'll be rmt'ing it. Here is more info that may help you out on the maxima forums. http://forums.maxima.org/supercharge...bo-maxima.html 3 maxes have done it so far. Their turbo setup cost under 3k and the highest hp so far is 372@9psi.
BOOSTEDPROB delete this crap man....this will go one until the cows read ten psi in their second stomachs
lol
good luck with your build....worse case you perform horribly like the first gen turbo kits from 2004 and 2005

Very nice...there was a blue maxima turbo giving me a REAL hard time earlier this week. I wonder if he had the swap and the turbo or just the turbo...
thats good shizzil right there...

Next: READ MY ORIGINAL POST. It's not about any kit in particular. It's about statements on this board that rear mount systems are better than engine mount systems. This is a blatant marketing fallacy that just plain wrong.

And, you go do that. I was the first person to have boost creep with the kit, and KCobean actually made the thread on it. Don't you think I've been there and done that? I've known of the issue since day one and even helped remedy it.
Don't start slinging mud at me about kit selection and saying you're not here to stir things up. The turbonetics kit always fit my goals perfectly. It has definitely done more to meet and exceed my expectations than a Vortech SC would have ever done.

Some facts about your posts:
1) You don't know what you're talking about when it comes to turbos or turbo kits for the Z.
2) You have no intention of learning or imparting any actual knowledge.
3) You are spewing off overly generalized and exaggerated statements that have no basis in reality.
4) You've conceded your only goal in posting here was to "ruffle feathers".
Hopefully by now everyone gets the point.

look at the picture.... do I want that next to my transmission and clutch lines? I wonder what a red hot turbo could mess up? Thats all im saying...... Heat is an issue... now if you have ways to combat the heat then great..... and im sure if you have more money then time you could combat the heat problem.... its all a matter of choice.... remote mount= a little turbo lag..... cooler IAT... more safe....... Engine mounted= less lag... way more money to do the right way to be safe.....

That engine pictured is suffering from some SERIOUSLY BAD EGTs. That my friend, is a tuning issue. With tuning that shitty, the engine will fail before anything gets a chance to light on fire. Heat is much less of an issue than anyone here is making it out to be. If you are not going to spend the money to have a reputable tuner give the car a proper tune, then you deserve a fire under the hood.
^ headers get close to that hot by them selves man...hell fire shoots out of them!
Im done with this thread....
unsubscribing because of the "experts" will fight to the death to make a point.
I think I going to put a roots supercharger on with my vortec because two is better than one right....
lol
peace BROS!

I'll be looking for the OP's writeup when his turbo system is complete. Good luck with it.
