Default max boost for utec....

I currently have a utec on my tn kit, and am looking to build
and go with the jwt 530 or 700 kit. I know the utec will be
ok on the 530 as the shop locally here did a build and utec
and got just over 520 rwhp on 94 octane and close to 15 psi.

If i go with more than 15 psi would the utec be ok to use as
no one here locally can tune haltech or vpro.

Thanks,
Freeze.

Well as you go above 16psi then you are really reducing the resolution of the map. I see some have it set to 20psi so you are basically tuning every 2 psi coz utec only have 10 column you can use. Are you comfortable with that? If you set your max to 20psi then I won't go above 18psi coz you still want an extra protection just in case you get a boost spike or overboost a little. I wouldng go above 20psi for you max Map value..

Beyond resolution concerns, you will also likely run into starting troubles as you up your injectors for bigger boost.

I am not local, but I have traveled to Vancouver before to tune Haltech'd 350Z's. That is always an option, PM me if you need more info.

Funny thing is i was the one who bought marcels utec. He told me you were coming to vancouver to do his haltech.

If im on a budget can i put you on a greyhound bus to vancouver.

LOL. J/K.

Maybe i should stay with the 530 kit and utec and keep boost at 14-15psi.

I would be happy with 500 rwhp.(For now).

The psi itself is not as relevant as other factors, unless you are talking about using the built in UTEC boost controller?

I think the resolution is as important as the others.. I mean let say you are running 3psi each load column then you'll be running the same fuel/timing between them. I wouldn't want to run the same timing/fuel let say 5psi and 8psi... The injector scaling is already a given as soon as you go past 10psi or higher HP. just my .02
