** Update on my Car - Pics, Numbers, Videos **
Mods please dont move this to the builds forum, even though this is my second motor, its more of an update thread, and since 2 shops have had a hand in it, I dont want it in the builds area!
Ok, most of you know of my engine troubles months ago. This is the same set-up, except I upgraded from the UTEC to Haltech, did the CJM twin pump, added a meth kit, swapped JWT S1 cams for Brian Crower Stage 3's, and a few small things here and there.
Sharif/Forged put the car back together, and did some tuning. Sharif helped me get back on the road and for that Im thankful. I picked up the car at the end of May, and without getting into details, I wasnt fully satisfied.
Upon some hard choices to make, and almost selling the car from frustration/unhappiness I let it sit for months before I took the car to Peter Farrell Supercars (PFS) here in MD. They area a local shop, and I can tell you Im NEVER doing the long distance shop thing again, it doesnt work for guys like me, and to be fair, if they dont get things 100% correct the first time, it ends with an unhappy customer.
Ray @ PFS is an good guy, and he kept me updated throughout the time he had the car. I gave him a list of things I needed done and he complied, simple as that, no surprises. Some of the things I had done, but not limited to:
* Change to K&N filters
* Fix and recharge A/C (havent had it for years since the TN kit!)
* Eliminate MAF
* Fix PS leak Ive had for months
* He fixed my melting fan fuses
* Retune, not going for more power, but for the smoothness I knew the Haltech had in it. Also 8000rpm's worth of tune for track use only.
He far surpassed my expectations, and as far as the power numbers go, he shocked me. Short and sweet---> pump gas on the first 2 boost settings, pump w/meth on the 3rd and 4th boost levels. Dynojet 5th gear numbers (STD, 0 smoothing)
13psi : 605whp 538ft/lbs
Im soooo happy with the tunes, part throttle is awesome, and WOT finally feels like I think it should. Im not out to make record numbers, I didnt want race gas, I want something I can fill up anywhere, and lay pump gas beat downs at a moments notice, with a street oriented powerband. This is the perfect kit for it IMO-its still keeping me happy after a few years, that says a lot for the "simple" Greddy kit!!
Big thanks to Injected (Hal and Greg) who got me a set of cams at a moments notice! Thanks again to Sharif for the SOLID Forged SLEEVED motor (more on this w/oil analysis at a later date), and the guys there for the good work and awesome meth install. And thanks to Ray @ PFS and the guys there who are awesome and good people! Ray brought me back into the game I was almost done with it Im glad to have found a shop nearby who I can trust and not worry about trailering the car 700+ miles when I break it.
Some pics and a video below! Comments & questions welcome, just keep it sane guys....
80mph 3rd gear roll - 17psi Believe it or not, the end of that was uphill at the track of course

Im happy again, and Im enjoying the car. I find as the power goes up I drive it easier and easier. Its hard to find open space to lay down 600+whp. I have no plans on running the car anytime soon. Trying to keep it in 1 piece
edit-this is Joe Kenefic's custom kit he had done through www.alkycontrol.com
I Forgot to thank Joe for the kicka$$ kit he developed!!! 100% meth. Bought the kit new.

Sweet numbers man!! How do you like the BC stage 3 cams?.. whats the midrange like?.. I know the S1 on your old setup must of had a ton a midrange power!.. Does it feel any slower in the midrange? I know top end must pull like hell!!... Great numbers again. Congratss!!!

To be honest on the first drive my boner went flacid, the midrange nastiness was gone at anything on pump gas, and top end felt weaker than before. Upon the retune it feels only slightly weaker in the midrange (only at 13psi) with much more power and a better TQ curve past 5000rpm's. I still havent compared my old setup on the DJ to this one, I'll get around to it eventually. Stage 2 cams on Ray's car make near identical power and idle better, Id stick with those, the curves are very close.
