I'll give you the leftover meatloaf in my fridge that I took home after having dinner with my mom and brother the other day. It's really good, and homemade too! I think you'll like it.

So what ya think? We got a deal? Meatloaf for your Z?

Sorry to hear. That's alot of money down the drain. I've been contemplating selling my Z for the longest time also. Great cars, but to have fun you gotta have funds. To me your best bet is to buy a bike and start from there. They are a hell of alot faster, alot cheaper, and to me riding is alot more fun then driving a Z. You wouldn't have to worry about a build up sheet or anything. Just do a pipe some cosmetics and roll to the next track day.

Sorry to hear man I just know you had alot of money spent on that thing. Good luck with whatever you do.

I agree,
I think berto already has a bike anyway....

also, once you do one track day on a bike, you will never ride one on the street again......when you realise you are using about 1/10th of the potential on the street (I don't care who you think you are), due to street conditions themselves

The amount of power, lack of traction, and terrible road quality would make me nervous enough, but factor in stupid people and nearly no protection..........
Bikes are sick nonetheless.

I thoroughly believe our cars are fine women, difficult, awesome, and expensive... to me she's worth it.

Really sorry to here Alberto - Kwame told me he saw the thread the other day. I know you and I have talked about the whole modding thing a few times before, so you know my take on it. You know the deal - boys and their expensive toys, and we're always looking to make them that much more unique, that much quicker, that much more reliable, and often end up at square 1 again.

For all those who suggest X or Y car, or a bike I'll deflate the balloon - it makes no difference what vehicle you're doing this level of work to. If you're not prepared for it to blow up, or get wrecked in some other way, you're living in a pipe dream. At our place, we've had crazy setups of all varieties, from bikes to cars for the last 17 years. Not one of them is on the original setup, because sometimes **** just happens. You have to be prepared, both financially, and mentally, for things to go wrong at any time, and have the stomach to pick up the pieces to move forward...either with or without the toy. Sometimes that means throwing good many after bad. Sometimes that means waiting to do things the way they should be done instead of taking the cheaper way out. And sometimes it means parking it for awhile, recouping funds, turning your attention towards other things in life, and coming back to it at a later date with a fresh perspective. You can take the Z out of the equation. It has nothing to do with it being a Z. It has to do with completely tearing a car apart, re-engineering it, and using it the way you think it should be used. It could be a Supra, or a Lambro, or a shifter cart, or whatever. At the end of the day it's just a toy, and sometimes toys need to be put away for awhile.

Overall, It's like anything else in life you get passionate about.

Whatever route you choose, good luck man

Have not seen you in a while....I totally forgot about you guys.....What you say is very true....Have to add you to my shop list

A Porsche mechanic once told me that when you get a 997TT from the factory....the motor is at 50% of its full potential...Thats why they can give you 4 years on the warranty. But when you buy the speciality Porsche's ( custom race models street or track)...They only give you months on the warranty....because you get 90% of the full potential of the motor...expensive things can go wrong fast.

This is why you get 1 year or less of a warranty on cars like F430, Lambo and Porsche CGT....just to name a few

What percent of the motor are the big builds using in this community?? 95%..100% or 110%??.....I will say 110%

Wise words Adam

I think I have made my decision, and that is that I will not sell the car, but I will take a break from it, for a while.

Many guys have been bringing up ZdayZ, I just dont trust the car to get me there, have fun with it and get back anymore.

Caravan down with me and that way if either one of us breaks down we can give each other a ride home. I may even be able to arrange for one of us to trailer a car down for extra protection.

I owe you a ride like the one you gave me, so wait till the spring and that should be enough to put the car back in your mind again

I doubt I wanna give the car another shot that soon

I had been contemplating taking like a 2yr break on it anyways, then started driving it a lot again. The front bumper/diffuser issue came up, now this, Im done.

It would take a miracle to get me back in the Z with a new block before ZdayZ.

I'll definetely take you up on that ride though Chris!

I had a GREAT weekend with this POS, slow as ***** straight line but awesome in the twisties, 150 miles or so on Saturday, not nearly enough....

it was 100% stock, but it ripped.. 447lbs with a full tank which is ridiculous for a 1000.. even with my big *** on there it would lift up the front at will. Fun as hell!! the low/mid range is retarded on that thing, top end isnt bad either.. trust me. it will do every bit of the 183mph advertised. i kinda believe more than that. i had plenty room to go before i backed off (disclaimer: computer generated of course ).. Honda did an awsome job re-doing the CBR... We dont have much twisty roads here in south florida so i cant speak on that . If u get a chance to ride one take it....
