** Update on my Car - Pics, Numbers, Videos **
Nice,
Yea my pump gas tune is more than enough for most any <=750cc bike out there. Haven't had the chance to run a litre bike yet (but I know I'll need AT LEAST the race gas tune, and probably more)

I can switch boost/power from whatever my low boost is up to 650whp with 2 clicks of the EBC...anything higher requires the map to be changed as well.
My 605 map take care of my buddies 08'R6 with full exhaust and a tune from a 3rd gear roll, good stuff. Thats the main vid Ive been wanting to do but havent gotten around to yet.

Hey Alberto, congrats on getting some good news. So wtf happened? Did it just overheat (coolant overflow outside the confines of the overflow tank) when the fans went out? Get a real fan controller on there so it's not drawing massive amounts of current all the time and have Ray use the spare output to set up a failsafe to cut boost to wastegate if it overheats again - very easy to do if you are controlling boost with the Haltech. gl man - hopefully see u at zdayz.

Time will tell if it did more damage than we know of right now.
I assume you run a controller? Have more info on it? I somewhat recall you sharing info on it but dont remember in what thread.
I know you are skeptical but I bet the Evans saved the motor and HG. I run this DIF controller and although I have only experience with one unit, it's been working well for over a year and did it's job up in the mountains at ZdayZ. It is small and handles 60 amps and can control both fans by pulsing the ground signal.

It is a little bit of a pain to figure out the temp sensor calibration (well their manual was WRONG when I was installing it, but they fixed it after I pointed it out - use the online manual, not the printed one), but you can either tap the stock sensor wiring (easier) or add in a new generic sensor (what I did) and calibrate to the turn on point. I can send u or Ray details if it would be helpful. The calibration curve for the stock coolant temp sender is in your Haltech map.

Thank you very much for the info on that controller, Im going to def look into that Raj.
Where did you mount the box?

I worry about it as well, and I know that I am still not in the clear. I will keep everyone updated on it.
I would be impressed if the motor held up a few more thousand miles after how hot it got, I am already giving the Evans credit. I also learned my lesson and will be bringing back an extra gallon to keep with me on longer trips.

When Ray did the oil change, did he actually see Evans in there? That would not be good.

Glad to hear you got some good news to start the new year. Hoping things run smooth and simple for the rest of the year and looking forward to meeting up with you a few times when the weather gets nicer.

the vids on this forum are boring!
Well some good news to start the New Year, for anybody who recently followed this thread.
The engine seems to be ok, and I will be picking up the car today!
The wiring for the fans was frayed, and it was redone. Im guessing that happened when the front diffuser flew off, lucky for me I made it down to South Carolina before it tore all the way thru.
The car had more Evans put in it, air removed from system and drives well, Ray even worked on smoothing out the tune further without me even asking.
I will report officially once I drive it later. Im very happy for now I can continue with the car.
I have plans to take it back to PFS after I settle the issue with emissions.
Keith-I'm gonn atake you up on your offer soon bud!!

you know i am very glad to hear this... it will be nice to see you again at ZDayz and with at least the small semblance of a smile on your face..
i do think that you should toss out an apology for all of the ranting against specific shops, though...
if i understand you, this failure was from fan wiring being destroyed by flying aero and not because of a faulty build or inability for the motor to be "driven the way it should"?

I drove the car back from PFS yesterday afternoon, and everything was very smooth. I used to have a weird hiccup that occasionally popped its head up at 2500rpm's, but Ray took care of it for good. He also straightened out my idle a little more so it doesnt jump around as much as it used to, car idles damn good for having BC3 cams.
It was in the 20's and actually flurrying slightly so I couldnt get any in 3rd gear, but easing into 4th and pushing thru 5th the car pulled nasty hard, makes my adrenaline rush like nothing else Ive done

Thanks again to Ray and his team at PFS, great people to do business with.

Congrats Berto. Glad everything worked out for you.. I dont know how you guys drive up there with that crazy snow weather. I cant even imagine driving my Z up there in that weather. Its 50 degrees here in florida and im freezing my ballz off...
