Japtrix (JapTRICKS) fails
http://g35driver.com/forums/forced-i...rix-fails.html
I invite everyone here (especially in Florida) to take a look at this thread. It's my write up / rant on japtrix and their "tuner" and their "service"
The moral of the story is- If you want a good quality tune, good customer service, or someone to treat you like you'd expect at 200$ an hour
Find another shop.

yeah... Besides tuner Roger, no one there is helpful at all. I was planning on doing a motor build/TT setup, but after such poor customer service there (no pricing, no info, no call backs, nothing) ill be heading to performance factory and going with the build/Powerlabs setup. Tuner Roger was the only one there that had the decency to call me back and apologize for no one calling me back. He should leave and open his own shop.

Well that's the way it used to be- He used to be owner tuner etc. People would drive from all over like they do for PF.
It's such a shame Roger deserve so much better than see his company thrashed by some *******.

I'll tell you what. Performance Factory is the only shop in Florida I will ever go to. Jeremy is a great guy and honest. He had my car tuned in less than an hour, and I couldn't be more pleased. Also there is so many things to do while your in Orlando that's it's worth the trip.

I'm not even one of JT's customers, but I went to the shop plenty of times and he is a HUGELY standup guy. If you want a guy who has a passion for working on fast cars working on your car, the Jeremy is your man.

correct me where i am wrong here...
basically, you think its worth causing a massively destructive thread about a tuner because your A/F hits mid 10's in the boost transition?
Correct these facts where I am wrong please.
1. They did not harm your engine
2. The car drives fine, just rich in boost transition
3. Your complaint is the rich boost transition
4. Their wideband was reading differently than yours
5. They tuned it to their own wideband readings
6. 4 months passed and seasons changed before you asked them to adjust the tune
if this is all true, then you are by **far** over-reacting. however i could be way off, this is just what i think i read skimming the pages
this is the dyno graph that you posted and you said you are happy with the results after the red line. You are right, its a little rich in the midrange there. Definately not worth you making this big a deal of it. people go this far when a shop actually screws them over or blows up their engine or something... you are going nuts over 10hp in the midrange that is lost only to ultra conservative tuning. if you want it more aggressive, why didnt you say something before you left the shop the first time?
in this video i see you give props to Japtrix and rock their tuned by japtrix sticker.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHcSQw3QIgA
sure doesnt seem like you are upset with them at this point.... 4 months later you blow up on them? you show videos of you abusing the car, the tune is obviously holding up, this is seriously all just about a little rich midrange? crazy.

It seems the way he was treated is as much or more of a problem to him then the quality of the tune he received; not an unreasonable thing at all considering how much some of us spend at shops like this.
I would like to echo in on the A/F issue though - my AEM UEGO reads ~1.0 lower then the w/b my tuner uses and it will hit the 10:1 UEGO bottom threshold at WOT as well (because it is actually 11:1). Its pretty common.
