I would do the springs and go from there, if it held fine when it was warm and then creeped after sunset I would say that is normal especially since it is getting colder. You should be fine with a 5 lb spring 5.83 I think to be exact and with the ebc you can dial it higher than 5 if needed but generally if you are headed to redline it will be boosting past 5. In the vq30 I can get it to 9 psi at about 5500 rpm with the 5 lb spring no boost controller. Here is a video on how gates work. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LStlqe64m4M

if your timing is retarded and your a/f is rich then the exhaust may be expanding as it exits the heads, into the manifold. causing creep. thats why i asked

if thats the case at all.

try to find the problem if you can. dont band-aid it if possible. but im just **** like that.

SO with this being weather related, after the car has run for awhile and the WG's are good and hot why would it still do it? I'm suppose to go to Darlington tomorrow, but if I don't have this resolved I'm not gonna run my car.

boost controller is going to have a hard time controlling boost too close to spring base boost

that is because that it is what it is supposed to do, if the springs are 8.5 or 9 as you said

only way to avoid it is to use 5 psi springs and then use the boost controller to bring up the boost
