They dont come polished....you have to take it and have it done yourself. RobertK is someone that comes to mind that has his polished.
You do know that if for some reason that you have to have it warranted
and its polished...they will void it.

Wongy has a polished cosworth plenum. Originally Cosworth supplied them unpolished only, so we had our guy do his. In the future I believe they will be offered in polished form from Cosworth for an additional charge.

I have called them earlier about if I had mine polished..... and cosworth did say if it did not come that way from them they would not cover it.
So if they are now polishing it..thats good to hear. But I am sure you do know that polishing thins out the plenum....so now that Cosworth is offering polished version....do they start out with a thicker plenum so that when they polish it ...it ends up with the same thickness as the unpolished version If not I guess its ok to have mine done.

All he said he was willing to say is.... "ANY changes to the original plenum will void any coverage."

I did ask about the powercoating process....I guess they did not want to give me a Yes or a No on that...but all he was willing to say is that "polishing changes the dynamics of the plenum or reduces the wall thickness..but powercoating does not".

cosworth is retarded. try explaining to them that you are polishing the plenum as a means of reducing stress risers. they can't possibly prove that polishing a plenum would reduce the strength of the plenum. you are rmoving only enough material to give the top a uniform surface thickness!!!!
also, if they are that concerned with it, maybe the plenum isn't very stout!!!!! ..........and then, you probably don't want to buy it in the 1st place.

Luie had a sealing problem with his plenum....If his was polished...they would have pointed the finger to the polishing.
