very nice!

no one here is arguing that you cant make power. I guarantee that same core with a dual in/out would make 600 hp on a greddy twin setup.

he is talking about the Braille/ performance factory drift Z they built. stock rev-up engine, stock vortech piping and intercooler, T-trim, U-tech, RFS with 600cc injectors and C16 FUEL, thats it and they made= 511 WHP 450+ RWTQ. I talked to the driver at the vegas drift event a couple of months back plus vortech engineering has the article on there web site. they have been running the snot out of this thing all season long and it is still holding together!!!!

ya thats not much different than the GTM car that made 500 whp.

the key is the T-trim. The compressor housing on any of the s-trims is too small and heats the air too much.

this is a rev-up. the belt/pulley configuration is quite a bit different than the non rev-up setup. the rev-up belt setup works quite well. i myself have not experienced any belt slip as of yet. i will be installing a T-trim soon myself with a built stock compression short block "10.3:1" running 100 octane with water meth injection. once this project is complete i will post my numbers and if there is any belt slip issues. the pulley setup will be 2.87 serp, 32 j/s.28 s/c cog that i am currently running now. as most people know i am running a one off mounting plate on the back of my s/c with a additional idler pulley that allows me to run the non rev-up cog setup on a rev-up configuration. this setup makes boost come in a bit early on the rev-up. it should be interesting with a T-trim and built high compression engine. i will be shooting for low 500 whp numbers and a nice flat tourqe curve. after that is established i am going to throw on a 100 shot of nitrous to see what this thing can realy do. i will be staying with the stock vortech piping and intercooler because i feel the water meth will supply the additional cooling i will need to keep my AIT's down. i have been trying to come up with a 8 rib serp setup for extra insurance against belt slip but all the machine shops and vendors i have been contacting are not willing to take on the project with me. which includes KJR,KRC and local machine shops as well. i have not heard back from SP engineering or unorthodox yet but i am assuming the same outcome as they will not be interested in machining this pulley set for me.

belt shredding is due to improper tension or a flexing mounting plate. My cog belt shredded once bc it was too tight (and proceeded to short my IVT solentoid which shorted my stock ECU and burned up my UTEC )

I think that the prochargers break belts alot because their mounting bracket flexes like a gymnast causing the belts to slap alot.

too bad you didnt pick up boogers cog setup for that steal of a price when he sold it. That setup was never even close to its potential.

I don't remember the dimensions off the top of my head. I'll have to ask Chris.

the stock bumper brace still fits (blocks top couple inches of core), but we are not running it on my car.

what kind of intercooler did u get? also was your core size 24X12X4 or was that your end to end tanks?

I was looking on ebay and found godspeed intercoolers (24X12X3) that suppose to hold 600hp. Is it worth replacing the vortech intercooler one if I'm going to run meth injectors later on?

like u said, other people run way more horsepower with the stock IC, so no need to upgrade.
